". . . they will look to the Fathers and Doctors for guidance and thereby achieve consensus."

MAY GOD HAVE MERCY!

A "Christian" calling on folks to seek guidance from flawed mortals instead of

From God's Holy Spirit!

God sent Holy Spirit to lead us into all Truth. Yet we are called of RC's to look to professional bureaucratic, self-righteous, self-serving, magicsterical power-mongers for guidance?

What an insulting slap in the face to Holy Spirit!

Worse, the very ones we are thereby called of the RC's to seek consensus through--THEY don't even have consensus amongst themselves! What hypocrisy! May God have mercy on such clap trap mentalities. Sheesh.

Of course, you have posted much more. But I have not the time to refute all your thrusts. Sufficient to say, Catholics DO NOT worship Mary, The Saints, or anyone except The Holy Trinity. We honor Mary, as God has seen fit to honor Her.

Unmitigated Balderdash!

The devotional the quotes are taken from and particularly those samples are outrageously insightful proof otherwise. Further we see proof otherwise from the RC's on FR day in and day out.

You are defending the Biblically indefensible.

Repentance is in order when confronted with such blasphemous idolatry. Any shred of Willful blindness about such blasphemous idolatry is a very serious problem wherever it may be found.

The truths of those example assertions are plain for all to see who have eyes to see and ears to hear. The truths of such mentalities on FR are plain for all to see who have eyes to see and ears to hear. We Proddys see such horrors on FR day in and day out.

Defending such Biblically indefensible notions is spiritual suicide. There is no excuse for it. The Bible is clear that such attitudes and such a focus are abominable to God. Weasel worded rationalizations will not remotely cut it when one stands before God Almighty.

yours IS watered down Christianity. Facts are facts, whether you like them or not. Open yourself to the truth and join the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church!

Indeed. Facts are facts. Any organization, structure, group, congregation, leadership, priesthood, which would even tolerate such attitudes and such a focus is an abomination to God. That's the facts.

The ONLY one Holy Church of The Risen Christ is all those who believe on His Name, are covered in His Blood and watching for His return within all groups which are remotely Biblically Christian--and probably a surprising number of individuals not within such groups who have an individual relationship with God by His Spirit, Grace and Mercy.

IF Holy Spirit ever was a part of the Vatican goings on, HE LEFT THE BUILDING LONG AGO. He may participate in some Roman Catholic Charismatic groups . . . otherwise, it's a dry, horrific. idolatrous, blasphemous, man led, fossilized shell of dead religion with little to no RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD WHATSOEVER.

And one thing for ALL of us to remember. Christ said, "Faith, hope and charity, and the greatest of these is charity."

The Greatest form of charity I know to extend in the face of such idolatry and blasphemy is to speak the truth in as much love as possible as forthrightly and firmly as possible. I'm doing that.

I will pray for your conversion to The One True Church, The Holy Catholic Church.

I sort of respect the thought and the probably positive emotion or attitude it arises out of.

However, I'm confident that God, in His Mercy, will protect me and my relationship with Him sufficiently to keep me far away from such an allegiance.

I will pray that you forsake dead, blasphemous religion and cling IN relationship to God alone.

Let us bear Christ's words in mind.

GOOD! Start with this...
"As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you."

He replied, "Blessed rather are those who HEAR the word of God and OBEY it."

"Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you."

He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"

Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers.

For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

In the Kingdom of God, Jesus does NOT follow man's ways.

THIS IS INSULTING to the very Words of Jesus you claim to believe.
She became Queen of Purgatory, She became Queen of us sinners, ONLY Catholics would glorify sin by giving sinners a queen and glorify fire and damnation by giving it a queen.

Catholics need an exorcist.

We’ll let you non-Romanist Protestants handle this.

Christians who have a much older heritage than Geneva, Rome, or Constantinople don’t even give “returning to Rome” a thought.

Several years ago, I had a discussion with a quite learned Orthodox fellow who told me that “Constantinople” still uses an Antiochan/Byzantine-type text of the Scriptures. Do you know if this is true?

There can only one true faith. Do you see this? The Catholic Church claims to represent that faith and proves it by solid historical evidence. The Church is something real, not just an idea.

Such is the false claim of your religion...The 'Faith' by your definition is an institution...Jesus speaks of no institution...The Faith of Jesus is not a building, an institution or a religious government...The Faith of Jesus is something inside of you...NOT outside of you...

And as far as true faith??? Seems Catholics don't know what faith in or of Jesus is...All they know is that your religion is referred to as 'the faith'...

There are millions of Christians who are spiritual babies...In any given church there are those who are content to know they are saved and worship Jesus...And there are those who immerse themselves in the word of God to gain the knowledge that God gives thru the scriptures...

There is only one True Faith and that is: that Jesus died; was buried; and rose again; and that we will be lifted in the like manner by the same One who raised Jesus from the dead if we believe ON the only begotton Son of God...

Any other claim of 'True Faith' is a deception that will land in person in Hell...

So then why do you insist on repeating what’s already been shown to be false? The Catholic church does not teach that works earn salvation. Just the opposite. They teach now, and always have taught that salvation is through the Grace of God through faith in Christ, exactly what protestants teach.

Luther argues just the opposite, and affirms that the Catholic church is the Church of Christ.

Your argument isn’t with us, your argument is with Luther and those who were there in the time of the Reformation. They did not see themselves as the progenitors of Christianity, that came much, much later.

Well then, that is a question that is best resolved on an issue by issue basis.

You are right that some things have changed. Such as the use of the vernacular. Some traditions have changed more than once.

However, I would argue the teachings have not changed. Some were not codified until fairly recently, (ie, put down in a form for propagation), but that’s a different thing than saying that the Church did not already believe this to be the case.

Which is contrary to what many protestants themselves teach, in that all believers are priests and that there is no need for an appointed apostolate. That would suggest that they believe there are no traceable successors.

So who is right on this issue?

Yet he also says, in John 19:26, to the disciple that he loved,

“Son behold thy mother”, and to his own mother, “mother behold thy son”.

If he were in fact ashamed of his mother, why would he say this?

By Peter's own actions and statements we can be sure that Peter was not the ROCK...And by posting that verse, what in it do you think indicates that the ROCK is a religious institution???

I have yet to meet a Catholic that can expound on what the Gates of Hell are...Can you??? And if not, why claim it???
