The paralysis usually goes away within a couple of months, or so.

One thing that might be helpful is to buy some Glad Press’n Seal wrap ( http://www.glad.com/plasticwrap/pressnseal.php ). It makes a good eyepatch to keep your eyelid closed. That helps to keep the eye from getting debris in it, especially when you are trying to sleep at night.

You can put a piece of it over your eyelid during the day,when you have to be out and about, and put sunglasses on over it. It is less noticeable than a regular eyepatch; and, as I said, it helps to keep debris out of the eye. Also, it helps to keep the eye from drying as quickly.

Thanks I really struggle with the eyepatch thing. I cant make it work. I use lots of lubricant at night on my eye.No patch. I am better now though. Able to blink a bit and I got my sweet Mona Lisa smile ; )
