The Loyalists were born in the US and fought in ther American revolution from 1775-1784
Many of them lost family members and their land in the US and 50,000 fled north into what became Canada...
The men fought the rebels while the women and children spent years in camps near Montreal, making do on very little..
Just by looking at what happened to them by you own take, one might think they were martyrs and victims who didnt fight back when their lands were confiscated...
But they did fight back...
First to retain their own land and then to keep America British...
Eventhough many of them died I doubt if their descendants would call them “martyrs”
They just started a whole new country with the hoe and little else they were given and built cities and were success citizens and didnt cry Boo Hoo you owe us we’re entitled...
Lets look earlier at the French Huguenots who lost family and lands and fled to Holand and England and then to the US...The very word “refugee” originated with the Huguenots...
They just started again here in the US and built cities and new lives and didnt spend centuries waviong victim cards...

The mpormons attacked and harrassed their Christian neighbors whereever them went and those same Christians fought back...
