True. But why do they endure? Jesus said that HE would lose nothing. Our ultimate endurance and salvation are all part of the same package - dependent upon the one who SEALED us until the day of redemption.
Think if I John. He says they went out from us because they were not of us, for had they been of us they would not have left us. There are a lot of folks professing but not possessing salvation. Ultimately, when put to the test, they will fail.
grace
~vs~
legalism
Better to err on the side of grace.
It is, afterall, by grace that we are saved.
Or, as an excellent pastor/teacher has pointed out...
You strike a horse
You drive cattle
But you must lead sheep.
Never strike or drive the sheep, for they will probably scatter and certainly not learn.
Err on the side of grace.
Wrong dotrinal understanding is a forgivable sin.
For there is only one sin that is unforgivable.
And wrong doctrinal understanding is not it.
If it were, then most illiterate believers throughout history would NOT be in glory.
The thief on the cross is in paradise, yet lacked doctrinal understaning.
That is why the gospel is good news.
It is not a burden to men.
Legalism, however is a burden.
You may have the station of a prophet, but, please,
err on the side of grace and you will lead more sheep to the Living Water.
Best wishes.
Such an event would cause many to reconsider.
I don't necessarily think Obama is anything but Jimmah Carter redux, but I have a small voice in my head that keeps telling me that Obama may be "AC". After all, Farrakhan has proclaimed him to be the Messiah (I guess since Louie is a muslim, that would make Obama the "Mahdi").
I still say he’s just a stalking horse, forerunner.
And a pretty sleazy one at that.
Pretty much agree.
Certainly you got the ani-mules right.
“Post as lengthily as you wish. I think you have a lot of wisdom and understanding I could learn from.”
What a sweet compliment, glad I could help.
You are worth it and quite welcome.
God be with you and yours.
I think the Son of Perdition is gonna be a very sleazy guy!;-)
Not at first. Not on the surface. Not as far as almost anyone who’d talk knows.
That's one of the reasons Obama has held my interest (vis-a-vis all this AC talk)...it's not that he lies but that he is a lie. Obama's use of deceit and manipulation is the best I have encountered in my life so far.
To some degree.
I used to think Shrillery was more evil. I think it’s still somewhat of a toss up but I think OThuga is more evil because he’s a bit slicker and convinces more of the brain dead.
However, the AC will not have such discoverable baggage when he first rises to power. He will seem to be absolutely squeaky clean and saintly.
Somehow he has to convince the Jews that he’s their messiah.
just my perspective,
imho.
I'm not familiar with that point. I know that he will make a seven year "covenant" with Israel (Daniel 9:27)...but I wasn't aware that Israel saw him as a Messiah.
Do you have a source you can point me to?
I suppose you are also unaware of the great strides that the implantable computer chip/MARK OF THE BEAST ID has made toward being required of every human and kept animal on the planet?
When the time comes, they would not need a literal mark, or RFID. They won't need a leviathan centralized database. They'll pay Google Analytics (or it's far distant successor) for a marketing report. "Everybody who hasn't bowed the kneel to Baal or kissed his face."
That may be my inference . . .
I’ve always understood that his raising his image in the Holy of Holies at the midpoint of the Great Tribulation disabuses the Jews that he’s their Messiah and they begin to flee as he begins to slaughter them as Scripture outlines.
That may be the main Scripture giving me that understanding.
Plausible.
However, they will have all the above.
At any rate, we certainly live in interesting times.
Quite plausible . . . given the UFO technologies and demonic forces at his disposal . . . that he can convince them that he’s both . . . is plausible.
The trick of the AntiChrist is going to be to convince some people that he is God incarnate (a counterfeit Jesus), hence his sitting in the Holy of Holies. As far as I know, both the Mahdi and the Jewish Moshiach are thought to be men (however anointed) and not deities.
