I know we have done quite a bit of specualtion here on who the Antichrist might be, however are we as *Believers* suppose to know who he is?
Isn't this what the Rapture of the Church all about.
We we know that the rapture must precede the tribulation, we know that the rapture is very near. You see, the antichrist cannot be revealed until the force holding him back is removed from the earth. After the church is removed from the earth, the antichrist will be able to begin his reign of terror.
2 Thess 2:7-8, For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy with the splendor of his coming.
After the letters to the seven churches, John is given the call to "come up hither." This would signify the rapture--the church being removed from the earth. Is this why the church is not mentioned again in the Book of Revelation?
Lastly- Is the next seal to be opened the 6th Seal? The Rapture of the Church and the Great Quake that will block out the Sun and turn the moon blood red.

(The Lord has not destroyed this person with the brightness of His coming yet, but will in the future.)
As to your passages in 1 John, they merely indicate that there are many antiChrists, but does not negate the fact that there is a singular antiChrist. The beast of Revelation 13 is not generic. He is a specific person who does a specific task. The little horn of Daniel is the same person. Take Scripture all together, not in one small pocket. The Bible is FULL of information about THE Antichrist if you want to look for it. And, I believe God intended for us to look for it else He wouldn’t have put it in the book.
With all due respect, there aren’t that many FR articles that include the word “antichrist” in the headline.

I think discussions of “the antichrist” on FR are whacky, and make conservatism as a whole look whacky.
It did not take any kind of implantable computer chip for Bama to seduce his multiple millions to believe. And what kind of chip can anybody implant into anyone else to make that person believe anything.

3. CHRISTIAN FREEPERS do not, as a rule, compartmentalize their religion vs their political philosophy as strictly as you seem to be demanding.
4. Our eschatology saturates our political understanding of these END TIMES—AT LEAST FOR A HUGE CHUNK OF THE CHRISTIANS ON FR.

Biblical prophecy has been fulfilled to the letter throughout history . . . and since Israel became a nation again in a day in 1948 precisely as Scripture predicted—the prophetic clock has been clicking along at a faster and faster pace with headline after headline seeming to leap right off the pages of Biblical Prophecy in clearer and clearer specific fulfillments.
6. The Bible makes clear that in the era wherein Israel is gathered back to the Holy Land and becomes a nation again—that generation seeing that will have some members still alive WHO WILL SEE THE RISE AND THE DEFEAT OF THE WORLD GOVERNMENT LEADER OF THE ANTI-CHRIST.
7. Rather interesting that for the first time in history—IN THIS ERA, we also have THE TECHNOLOGY TO MAKE THE BIBLICAL PREDICTION ABOUT THE MARK OF THE BEAST—WITHOUT WHICH NO ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO BUY OR SELL—for the first time in history, that’s technologically possible and the Oligarchy has been inexorably moving towards that for decades.
8. IF you were even 30% aware of the quotes of our leaders since 1900 ref’d in my tagline—yet again, you’d have reason to trust The Bible’s prophetic teachings about the End Times and the Anti-Christ.
9. The Biblically predicted world government has been in place under the table for some time. OThuga is dedicated to making it more overt. Guess who steps up to take the reigns of that overt world government . . . . THE ANTI-CHRIST! DOH! Any Jr High school student of Biblical prophecy knows that. Why don’t you seem to?

11. AS for me and my house, WE SHALL SERVE THE LORD.

No, it will not. Salvation is the same through all ages. In the Old Testament is was by looking to the future Messiah in faith. Today it is looking back to the Messiah in faith. There are not two plans of salvation, only one. There are different ways God works in men’s lives, but not different was of salvation.
Salvation is not, was not, and will never be by works or any mixture thereof because all of our righteousness is as filthy rags before God. Jesus’ righteousness is what gets us into Heaven and Jesus keeps whom He saves.
I think the catching away will occur at least after serious birth pangs . . . of the GREAT TRIBULATION, WHICH WE ARE ALREADY IN . . . i.e. the birth pangs.
