I don't think so. The purpose of crucifixion was more to utterly strip the crucified man of any vestige of honor--the pain was a means to that end, not the end in and of itself, which is why Hebrews says that Yeshua despised the shame, not the pain, of the Cross. He took all of the shame that we rightly deserve for our sin upon Himself.

No, I think what shook our Lord was that it was in Gethsemane that all of our sins began falling on Him, that this holiest, most innocent of beings felt the slimy, filthy taint of every sin ever committed on His perfect person as He became sin for us so that sin might be judged.

Here i would disagree. Most analyses would offer that those sins didn't begin to fall upon Christ until the darkness at noon.
