This thread is an ancillary to the Sunday evening weekly non-denominational prayer thread. Tonight we gather in Christ's name to ask that Our Lord confuse the enemies of Truth and Christian values, and confound the efforts by media to lie and mischaracterize. We will be gathered in prayer from 8PM EAstern through the debate period and into the liars club sequence which follows from the talking liberal heads at the alphabet networks.

We ask that the Lord bless John McCain witht he wisdom from God's Spirit, to expose the truth about Barack Hussein Obama and the economic crisis brought on by greed connected with a democrat plan to redistribute wealth where merit was ignored and socialist paradigms were envoked. Tie the tongue of those who would lie tot he we the people, and loose the tongue of those who would speak to US directly addressing real problems offering real solutions to work our way out of the crisis and institute measures to prevent a return to wrong policies.

We ask that the truth regarding whom each man is in character--Barack Obama and John McCain--and expose where the image of a man is fabricated by media spinners to deceive We the People.

Don’t be discouraged—as I have said before, it is this man’s own arrogance toward the God of heaven that will be his undoing. He has NO idea who he is coming up against—and it will be to His peril.

Things will someday be revealed, as the Bible reminds us:
“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
(Phil. 2:10,11)

“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” (Luke 8:17)

And don’t discount the Father’s love for us, His followers. That love was enduring enough to put Him on the cross, and may be we will find favor once again to keep His name in the public arena of the USA. PRAY HARD!

Looking To God right now...
Father God we turn to YOU... we ask for a special anointing over John McCain tonight . May truth be revealed. May he be clear and purposeful in his presentations. We ask in Your Name that there be a spirit of confusion that will come over Barak OBama so much so that the media will mention how confused he seemed tonight.
Above all I pray that this nation will go to her knees and turn back to the God of Our Fathers.

We turn our hearts and minds towards YOU, oh Lord God, who is able to do exceeding abundantly over all we can ask or think!

We trust in YOU Heavenly Father, and put no trust in men. Butw plead for mercy on this nation.

In thy righteous anger, oh Lord, remember your mercy as you have done so many times in our past and as you have done so in your dealings with your special nation and people - Israel. Even when they went astray and rebelled against your Word and your Spirit and your ways, You did not stop loving Israel but have called them even in our day out of every nation to become a nation again - born in a day. We know that your promises in your Word are TRUTH and You promise mercy even in judgement.

We ask for that mercy now, on our nation. We ask for your intervening grace now, on our nation.

Deliver us from Evil, oh God, as you teach us to pray - and we thank you for hearing our prayers from our anxious hearts, giving YOU these worries and anxieties because we KNOW you care for us.

Lord, Thank you for the aggressive approach John McCain is taking tonight in presenting the truth against Barack Obama. Obama is clearly attempting to keep it impersonal.

Please, Lord, keep McCain on track, assertively attacking Obama's history and policies to the point where Barry simply can not form a coherent sentence. We are praying for him to fail miserably, Lord, and for John McCain to come away from this debate looking like the courageous leader our country needs. Amen.
