For some time, through FReepmail, several FReepers have provided each other with a way to share prayer requests and praises. Now that the Non-denominational category has been established, we are offering a weekly thread in which posts of your requests and praises are welcome. Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here. The one thing that we hope to establish here, is that at a set time on Sunday evening, 11:00 p.m. in the Eastern time zone, 10:00 p.m. Central time, 9:00 p.m. Mountain time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time, we will as a group, lift these concerns up in prayer. Individual prayer at any time is, of course, encouraged. If anyone desires to post an "anonymous" request, just word it in a manner such as: " Please lift up my prayer (or praise) for a personal concern." Additional anonymity can be gained by sending a request or praise to svcw via FReepmail.
Thank you all for that nights prayer. It as always was a wonderful experience. The words to the song, are so true The Battle Belongs to the Lord How grateful I am He is in control and that I do not have to lean on my own understanding.
The Battle Belongs to the Lord
In heavenly armor we'll enter the land. The battle belongs to the Lord! No weapon that's fashioned against us will stand. The battle belongs to the Lord! We sing glory honor, power and strength to the Lord! We sing glory honor, power and strength to the Lord! When the power of darkness comes in like a flood. The battle belongs to the Lord! He's raised up a standard, the pow'r of his blood. The battle belongs to the Lord!

Svcw, please also pass this on to your ping list~~
I had asked for prayer for my oldest brother, Walt, who was having major surgery.
His problems have been numerous: dialysis, lost one leg, circulation problems, nearly blind. Yet he had a love for life and fought on.
On June 7, 2007 (his 70th birthday), he had an amazing near-death experience during surgery to remove that leg.
He saw satan (he said he’s more horrible than we can ever imagine). Then he saw Jesus. He also saw other things that he said he could not find adequate words to convey. The closest he could come was that they had to do with other dimensions beyond mortal ability to see, and the beauty of heaven.
Now, you’ve got to understand that my brother was more inclined to believe in space aliens than Jesus.
From that day on, he told many what his experience had been. He didn’t care if they thought he was crazy. He became what he had always mocked — a Christian. He lost his fear of death, though not his love of life.
On June 7, 2008, exactly one year after his vision from/of the Lord, my brother died after another major surgery to remove a pre-cancerous growth from his colon. The surgery was successful; the infection that set in afterward killed him.
Many unbelievers in my family are pondering all these things in their hearts.
I want to praise God for answering our prayers His way, and thank you for lifting him up. May God use it all to His glory.
My condolences to you and your family for the loss of your brother.

May the witness of Walt move them to Christ.
What a wonderful idea. Sign me up!
Wow! Praise God. He moves in ways we often can’t even imagine.
I’m waiting on the Lord to move at this very moment, indeed in every single moment. His will be done.
I personally find these prayer circles very moving and inspiring.

Sorry for the double post.
Thank you all.
For next Sunday night’s prayer meeting I’m asking for prayers for Walt’s widow, Louise. Specifically that all her needs be met. She is a strong woman, but now is facing financial trials because of the loss of Walt’s social security income.
I hope to join you, but it’s hard for me to stay up until 11 pm. EDT. I’ll be there in spirit if not still awake.
(Even though I don't go along with EVERYTHING that the Denomination says are important.)
What a wonderful testimony of God’s mercy and love. Hallelujah!
What a wonderful testimony.
Glory to God.
Thank you for sharing.
We lift up your family today.
Done
Well..
I know you are on the list but I cannot find your name in the string of names.
I must need better glasses.
So if you are pinged again - ahh well I will find your name and remove it - really.
(smile here)
Elsie, in the first three lines of the article posted at the beginning is this statement: "Anyone, regardless of denomination, is welcome to bring their concerns here."
We have several Prayer Partners that are, I believe members of a denomination. Please feel free to join us.
Good afternoon...
Love that song...
The battle belongs to the Lord...
And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle [is] the LORD’S, and he will give you, (cancer, divorce, unemployment, drugs, alcohol), into our hands. 1 Samuel 17:47
And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, (America), and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and every city in between), and thou King Jehoshaphat, (and President George Bush), Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 2 Chronicles 20:15
Love,
God
