President Bush opened his day in a battleground to the south, at worship services at a Roman Catholic church in Miami. Bush, who has assiduously courted Catholics during his term, was accompanied by first lady Laura Bush, his brother, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and other relatives. He was all but endorsed by Monsignor Jude O'Doherty.

"Mr. President, I want you to know that I admire your faith and your courage to profess it," O'Doherty said.

On Sunday, Bush attended Mass at the Church of the Epiphany, a Catholic church in Miami, where he won praise from Monsignor Jude O'Doherty for signing a ban on late-term abortions and for limiting federal funding for stem cell research.

Before the rally, Bush attended The Church of the Epiphany - home church of Bush's brother, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. The president received ovations as he arrived and left the service during which Monsignor Jude O'Doherty praised Bush from the pulpit.

"Mr. President, I want you to know that I admire your faith and your courage to profess it," O'Doherty said in a long tribute to Bush, who has assiduously courted Roman Catholics.

Bush is a Methodist; Kerry is Catholic.

O'Doherty ticked off a litany of Bush's positions, including ``your wholehearted support for human life from conception to natural death.'' After a Biblical citation, the pastor, playing on this year's wave of political ads, said: "My name is Jude O'Doherty and I approved this message."

The President carries his faith in his heart and acts on his christian beliefs. John Kerry flaunts having once been an 'altar boy', while promising to destroy any and all vestiges of christian values, should he be elected.

George Bush will be re-elected!

It's his brother's home parish, makes sense he would attend there.

I trust he did not receive - I see no mention of it, and the President has never shown by word or deed that he would commit such a disrespectful act.

His opponent, on the other hand . . . .
