The kid is legally 18 years old and should have a right to earn a living

Of course he has a right to earn a living. The question is, does he have a right to impose his will on the wills of the NFL owners?

Perhaps I am naive, but why would any team want him after this episode unless they want to be in court later for not giving him enough playing time or whatever the heck else he can think up to cause a problem to "earn " some easy money?

Dear Smells'n'Bells, Young Maurice of the iffy shoulder would last about 5 sec, or one running play in the NFL. He needs to play with children his own age for a bit longer.

Also, a bit of book learning certainly couldn't hurt. There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that he is being scouted for Bowdoin.
