I reposted your "Liberal Slant" poem over here on Black (above) so we could analyze it better.

If you are writing this as a liberal, then what you are satirically saying in the last two lines is "George W. Bush is responsible for all the evil going on, but he has the audacity to blame it on you and me (meaning the liberals.)" Is that correct?

Correct. Solar Flares are heck. But I grew my brain back. Basically the left blames Bush for everything so I spread the blame from 9/11 back to the big bang. I could have included more events but decided to jump to Warp Factor 3.

I write 2 to 10 per day depending on work and inspiration. I post some and others I save. I am writting a book of poems for my daughter, a theme of poems for my fiancee, these little political poems here, Alabama Political poems for local sites and talk radio guys. The average poem takes 5 minutes.

Solar Flair

We best be careful til this thing,
Has run it’s natural course.
My tinfoil hat could not withstand,
The power of this force.
It bombed my brain just like a nuke,
The functioning was gone.
I thought I was a Liberal,
I felt so all alone.
But praise the Lord it went away,
And I am back to normal.
Those solar flares can sure do harm,
Your brain will be a doornail.
So please be careful when you’re out,
I’ll tell where I’m at.
Until this solar storm is gone,
I’ll wear a double hat.

Wish I'd have been there, but I was just a casual lurker back in those days. I made it to the next Rally for Justice in Lafayette Park the following July, though, and overcame my reluctance to register as a FReeper. Thanks for doing such a good job in documenting the event.
