Asked in an interview with Time magazine if after the row over the Nazi gaffe he would consider a more cautious approach, Berlusconi said: ''I'm not a traditional politician and I have a sense of humour. ''I'll try to soften it and become boring, maybe even very boring, but I'm not sure I'll be able to.''

Only the French and the Germans are allowed to use anti-american hate rhetoric. Any attempt to use their own rhetoric against THEM is strictly forbidden.

Chirac and Schroeder vying for the 'most odious' crown. Not to say that Chretien doesn't belong in the group!

'' The quote, which means ''I am a Berliner'' in German, is from U.S. President John Kennedy's landmark visit to then-divided Berlin in 1963.

The declaration, which can also mean ''I am a doughnut,'' won the hearts of many Germans at the height of the Cold War.

If said by Teddy Kennedy it is correctly translated “I am a Rum Tort.”
