Prostitution remains the predatory and powerful making money off the young and vulnerable. Rape for money.

No one is forcing young women to do anything. They're doing it on their own free will.

I knew the holier-than-thou FReepers would show up soon.

Perhaps all the supporters of the bill celebrated by victimizing a whore that night. sarcasm/

God will not be mocked. There will be serious reprecussions here - a rise in disease, and most important of all, the destruction of the hearts and souls of women and men who would give away their bodies for money.

Soon the government will put a sales tax on it, and then a surcharge, and pretty soon the now unexploited prostitute will be charging a hundred buck and keeping ten, with the NZ government as the big new pimp.

Nonsense. It is the world's oldest profession. While I don't patronize the services of prostitutes, many others do. For some strange reason feminists and others regard men as some kind of class-culprit for this "crime". However, it is the women who make themselves up and parade on the streetcorners trying to attract male customers.

Years later, sometimes a prostitute tries to set her life straight, then she can capitalize on phony tears saying that "those bad men made her do it."

In many European countries prostitution is legal. They do not have the level of rapes or sex crimes that are commonplace in US cities. Perhaps this provides an outlet for the rogues. Better to let them have at the willing than the weak.

Yet our laws regard men as criminals, any time two adults engage in sex the man is somehow "raping" the woman. An unwanted offer to dance is sexual harassment.

Whenever a municipality in the USA tries to "crack down" on prostitution, it is the men who get their pictures in the newspaper and the men who get their automobiles seized. Come off it! One can equally say that prostitutes play their "vulnerability" and use cheap sex tricks to "steal" the hard earned money from men.

Plenty of prostitutes who have been "rescued" go right back to it.
