Bremer is pretty good. Looks like he's really getting things lined out. It's going to take a firm and steady hand to get that place under control.

I read elsewhere that Iraqis can have guns but there will be a permit or some kind of registration they will be given.

I was concerned at first because he looks like a lib. Definately a Kennedy type. We'll see.

U.S. troops Thursday also seized what appeared to be $500 million worth of gold bars from a truck near Qaim on the Syrian border, the U.S. Central Command said in a statement yesterday. God, Iraq is overflowing with boxes of dollar bills and gold bars these days. Must be crushing for Saddam to lose them all permanently.
