Dammit. If they only start negotiating when they know our planes are in the air, I have a feeling they are negotiating in bad faith. I do not believe surrender is legitimate.

Great News! Hope it happens. Please keep us informed.

Also showing a bunch of aircraft launches (332nd Air Exped Wing).

May it be so. But this would mean the Hussein gang is out of business.

Saddam would never surrender. He is either dead or seriously injured...
To: MattGarrett
Surrender must mean, in part, that they produce Saddam.

Air raid sirens in Baghdad!

if they're NEGOTIATING surrender, then we shouldn't listen. the Japanese tried that angle too when it looked like they were gonna lose.
if they PLEAD surrender, unconditionally, then I'd be willing to listen.

The only surrender we should accept is an unconditional one. To do otherwise would set a very dangerous precedent and will cost many future American lives.

What's to negotiate?
To: leadpencil1
Surrender must mean, in part, that they produce Saddam. And their WMD. And their papertrail leading to Al Qaeda and the French.

Hope we learned from the '91 Desert Storm negociations. These guys have Lucifer on their side and that makes them masters of deception . . . I don't like this but I trust our leaders judgement.
