The Palestinians in the Gaza town of Beit Hanoun shouted "Death to America, death to Bush," and "We will sacrifice our soul and our blood for Saddam."

I agree, except that as you know they just appointed a new "prime minister" and are going to "share power" so they should be -and wiil be - given complete autonomy with their own homeland.

You would think this would be a critical time for them to show some good PR by telling the world that they have no hate and no further ambitions than their own homeland and could contribute to middle east peace.

Their hatred is so deep they can't support peace even if they hurt their own cause by showing who they really are.

I'm not surprised at the Palestinian reaction. Saddam Hussein has been their canonical sugar daddy for their suicide bombers; paying out $25,000 to the families of all bombers who successfully kill civilians across Israel.

Curiously, the Left never condemned Hussein for this practice. One would think they would have had harsh words for a tyrant who doles out cash to terrorists while his own people want for food and medicine. But noooooo...in the eyes of the Left, *WE* are the "bad guys." Yeesh.

I've been wondering what has happened with the Palis after last night's activities, I had assumed that they had been keeping most of their powder dry for this moment. I expected them to "participate" by bombing a few more Israelis, while the news media's attention is on Iraq, that's the chance for Sharon to bulldoze the whole Gaza Strip into the ocean.
