All the networks are TERRIBLE except for FOX News Channel. FNC has video-phone coverage from all over + Geraldo tromping around Afghanistan live with the 82nd Airborne.

I just heard it on CNN ( only one I can get where I am) they talked to a newsman who is on the Kuwait border (somewhere, couldn't say exactly where) but said it was loud, looked like an incoming missille. Said they heard "bunker, bunker, bunker & put on your gas masks!" Said he had no further info right now. Said it was about 15 mins ago.

I was wondering whay Geraldo was in Afghanistan. Now we know.

It is obvious that the Military is giving Fox prefered leaks and better access to coverage.

It puts the other networks in a nasty position. If they get on the air and scream that Fox is getting preferential treatment they will just send what audience they have to Fox. And if they don't scream, Fox will beat them. If they do complain afterwords, the Bush administration will just say that Fox did not get special treatment, the president just thinks FOX did a better job.

Colin Powell was heard to say in 1991, we are going to war against both Saddam and the US media. We intend to win both wars. I think the same thing is true today. After Gulf War I, the media did a lot of sould searching about how the Bush administration used them, and how to prevent it in the future.

This time the "Pentagon" bent to the media's will an put all the reporters on the 'Front Lines" with the troops. It appears some "Front Lines" are better than other Front Lines. CBS, ABC, NBC, and CNN got the lesser quality "Front Lines."

Foxz reports two Iraqi missles possibly shot down before they could hit targets...just caught the end of this so I'm not sure exactly what was said. The military analyst seemed to think it was pretty big saying for us to shoot down 2 missles proved our defense system works.

ALso no confirmation of bio/chem warheads.

You are welcome. It is scary to me. My son is in NBC and gives training classes to the guys in his unit. He has to give one this morning. And then they are suppose to be shipping out sometime between this Saturday and Tuesday. They will be the last from their unit to go. But since the war has already started I don't know if they will still leave out.

Stay safe.
