Anyone else guessing that U.S. Army Special Forces are up to their old best tricks?

Psyops and sabotage make a nice combination.

Oh, I don't think the U.S. is up to any tricks at all Travis. Sadman is shaking in his boots, his nerves are frayed and the Iraqis' backbones are straightening by the day. Maybe tomorrow we'll see Sadman hanging by his heels in the public square along with Oh Say and Not Your U Day. Those statues and portraits of Sadman will be knocked down by the people. History tells us this is a very possible scenario.

I meant tricks in the very best possible way. It's what they do! Provide a little help to the local dissidents, and then let them take full credit. It's right out of the SF playbook, and I salute them for their efforts.

To set an example, members of Saddam's security forces arrested a civil servant in the al-Hurriyya suburb of Baghdad on suspicion of preparing to leave the country. The official was tied to a pole in the street and passers-by were ordered to watch as his tongue was cut out and he was left to bleed to death.

Just another nail in his coffin. The more brutality Saddam, his sons and their henchmen display, the quicker the Iraqi people will accept and even embrace the occupying forces.

Yes, this could well be the type of operation you were suggesting might be carried out.
