Britain Expresses Concern Over Palestinian Civilian Deaths

LONDON - British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw on Tuesday said he was concerned by the killing of Palestinian civilians, including that of a pregnant woman, in recent Israeli-Palestinian violence.

"Some 36 Palestinians, many of them civilians, have been killed in the West Bank and Gaza" since Feb. 20, Straw said in a statement. "I am deeply concerned by the number of civilian deaths, including that of a pregnant woman in Bureij refugee camp at the weekend."

The 33-year-old woman, in her ninth month of pregnancy, was one of three civilians killed during an incursion by Israeli forces into the Gaza Strip refugee camp in the early hours of Monday morning. Two boys, aged 14 and 16, were also killed, along with five Palestinian gunmen.

The pregnant woman was killed when her house collapsed on her during the demolition of a nearby building, doctors and her family said. Six other family members were injured, including the woman's husband and two of her sons.

Straw said the Israeli Defense Force was fueling the cycle of violence by using military might indiscriminately.

"I have repeatedly championed Israel's right to take steps to provide security for its citizens, but these must be within international law," Straw said.

He added that Britain's ambassador to Israel, Sherard Cowper-Coles, would raise the matter with local authorities Tuesday.

Hey Jack Straw, if the Palestianians are concerned about civilian deaths, tell them to quit harboring terrorist cells and bomb manufacturing facilities. Otherwise shut your ignorant pie hole.

If you can find one word of sorrow over that eminating from the UN, the EU and at times even from our own government, it'll suprise me, but every time Israel takes action to stop the terrorists or even slow them down, the "me oh my" patrol goes on full allert. Colin Powell drives me crazy on this subject.

The vast majority of victims of Palestinian violence are innocent Israeli civilians. The vast majority of victims of Israeli violence are combatants. A great number of Palestinian dead are suicide bombers and collaborators killed by their Palestinian neighbors.

Go ahead and make some moral equivalence out of that, Jack.

Another post from the Jihadist RCW. Anything to try to make Israel look bad. What really happened in this Gaza operation is that Palestinian scumbag terrorists were rounded up. Not that the Jew obsessed RCW cares.
