Terrorists aim at Pearl Harbor

The threat to Pearl Harbor comes as al Qaeda terrorists are said to be planning a major attack against the United States, either on U.S. territory or overseas.
Intelligence reports last month indicated that the Islamist terror group wants to carry out a major attack to rival the September 11 strikes on the Pentagon and World Trade Center. According to the reports, the attack could be preceded by smaller-scale attacks, such as assassinations of public figures or smaller bombing attacks.
The major attack is suspected by the CIA to be al Qaeda's first attack using deadly chemical, biological or radiological weapons.

Well, they certainly are mistaken if they think we will shiver in fear. My, how they have failed to read Modern American History.

Somehow I don't think these guys realize how much wrath an attack on Pearl Harbor would raise in the American people. I believe that that another attack, particularly on an American icon, would galvanize public opinion in ways beyond that of even the events of 9-11.

Hence, the phrase, "what middle east?"
The middle east would then resemble something out of the "Mad Max" sceneries. (Including the Saudis)
Best wishes, and prayers they don't go for it.

Hoo-baby. You can say that again.

We have been very measured and very reserved in our responses to the attacks so far. An assault on Pearl would tear it, and I believe Bush would have 80%+ National approval for pushing "The Button."

These rag-head idiots still underestimate U.S., and will pay an horrific price if they don't smarten up but quick.

But for the implied cost in American lives, I almost wish they'd push us to the wall.

After such an attack, rational Muslims in the USA would be requesting detention in camps...

I simply don't see the Pearl Harbor attack possibly working the way it's described. Who in the entire world (who flies on airplanes anyways) does not know about the 9/11 method of attack? I just don't see the crew and passengers giving up control of the cockpit again. And why would these cowards increase their risk by striking a hardened target, when they have no aversion to soft targets? This smells like bogus info to me.
