(Japanese) Yomiuri News reporer Kiyoshi Aihara, stationed in Baghdad, has reported that 16 Japanese useful idiot "HUMAN SHIELDS" have now arrived in Baghdad.

He said the Japanese Government is in a major quandry, as they are warning and pleading with these imbeciles about the extreme dangers of their protest actions and ordering them to get out of Iraq as soon as possible.

The Japanese Foreign Ministry is also upset because SADDAM HUSSEIN'S REGIME IS APPARANTLY PAYING FOR ALL OF THE JAPANESE 'HUMAN SHIELDS' HOTEL COSTS, MEALS AND INCIDENTALS.

Iraq is purposely funding and supporting these demonstrators at the risk of them becoming war casulties.

The Japanese Government (Foreign Ministry) said there are currently about 75 Japanese in Iraq left, including Japanese reporters. Of that figure, there are 35 Japanese 'peace activists'. Of that number, 16 of them declared they will stay until after the Iraq War starts, serving as "Human Shields".

The Japanese Embassy in Baghdad is ordering them to leave as "even though the Iraqi government lists the 16 as "guests" and has sent them to Iraqi hospitals, bridges and electric plants, at any moment they will forbid their departure from Iraq and turn them into "hostages."

The Japanese Embassy in Baghdad has been going over to the Baghdad hotel where many of these people are originally staying., individually negotiating and pleading. Mr. Mihara, a First Secretary of the Embassy, told three protestors directly to get out soon because of war. The reponse from one (a Japanese 'dancer'?) to him was "So what if I am killed. I want to show people power. The next generation can take over from us."

The shame of these people. They are so misinformed, and that is their fault. I pray that they can come home safely with only a very hard lesson to speak of, and then become conservatives. I really don't want them to die for being idiots.

Unfortunately, they will be used by Saddam when the time comes, they will also be shocked by the treatment which they recieve.

Look at it this way, Saddam wins(that is, he somehow survives), then they will be used as some token hostages in a deal, or perhaps murdered to claim as victims of American bombs. If Saddam loses, they will be hated by the Iraqi's for siding with him, and possibly killed anyway.

They're about to learn exactly what life is really like in Iraq - so many of them will have the scales fall from their eyes, but it will be too late. American bombs will fall, and they will be killed. That is not to say it will be the American bombs that do the killing, but that's going to be Saddam's story.
