The body of a Palestinian man was found Monday in the rubble of house in a Gaza town demolished the day before by IDF troops, hours after the soldiers withdrew to the outskirts of the northern Gaza town.

The withdrawal brought to an end a two-day operation aimed at destroying terrorist infrastructure beloning to the militant Palestinian group Hamas.

Palestinians examining the remains of a house demolished by the IDF in Beit Hanoun on Monday.

Rescue workers pulled out the body of Abdullah Al-Saba, 52, from the house of his brother, which like his own home next door, was destroyed by troops Sunday. They said it took them two hours to dismantle the explosives belt he was wearing.

Nine Palestinians, including at least one civilian, were killed during the operation, which was ordered by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in an effort to end the firing of Qassam rockets at the nearby Israeli town of Sderot.

Al-Saba's son was killed Friday trying to attack at a Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip. Both father and son were members of the militant Islamic Jihad organization, neighbors said.

Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said Monday that IDF operations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip would continue, as Israel is still receiving intelligence reports on planned attacks.

PFLP takes responsibility

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine took responsibility for the shooting Sunday of Sergeant Doron Lev, 19, from Holon.

The preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the sniper attack Sunday in which a IDF soldier died of a single shot in the back has revealed that he was not wearing a bullet-proof vest at the time.

The soldier, 19-year-old Sergeant Doron Lev from Holon, was shot and killed on Sunday morning, after a lone Palestinian gunman opened fire at an army position in the southern Gaza Strip. Information regarding the attack was only released for publication later in the day, after the soldier's family had been notified of his death.

Military sources reported that the soldier was taking supplies to soldiers in the guardtower at the Gaza division headquarters near Khan Yunis. The soldier was critically wounded, and a team of paramedics at the base provided emergency first aid before evacuating him to Soroka hospital in Be'er Sheva. His condition continued to deteriorate, however, and he died a short time later. Lev will be laid to rest at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday at the military cemetery in Holon.

A a paratroop unit operating in the Balata refugee camp in the West Bank arrested Siad and Nabil Mabruka on Monday morning, on suspicion that they were operated the explosive factory uncovered in Nablus last week. The two are members of the militant Hamas group and have been on the IDF's list of wanted terror suspects for some time.

Also Monday, the IDF arrested four Tanzim activists in Balata, on suspicion of orchestrating and carrying out a series of shooting attacks and of planting roadside bombs in the territories.

Elsewhere, troops arrested a Palestinian near Tul Karm, on suspicion of planning to carry out a suicide mission inside Israel.

In the past few weeks since the morally bankrupt so called peace activists have been protesting President Bush and America, Israeli has been hunting down and eliminating terrorists.

They should dragged his body down to Arafatty's headquarters and into the building and then detonated his suicide belt.

I think the rescue workers are with the PA, not the IDF.

For the protesters here in the US, its not about terrorism, pre-emption, WMD, its the hatred of George Bush. If you were to ask some of these dimwits what Hamas or even the Gaza Strip is, they wouldnt even know.

If the Israelis were perpetrating suicide bombings on the Palestinian territories and the Palestinians had the ability to do so, they'd launch military incursions into Israel to root out bomb making facilities and perps. What Israel is doing, is a sad task of war. You have to do the best you can to eliminate the perps of this activity.

I'll be honest here. I don't like the lack of due-process that is exhibited in these missions, but in war due process simply doesn't exist for the most part. I don't think Israel indescriminantly attacks innocent Palestinians. At least I'd like to think not. Do innocents get hurt? Undoubtedly. War is hell!

Israel is not instigating this exchange of hostility. If the Palestinians stopped their bombings, missile attacks, sniping, stone throwing and other activities, peace would result. Israel would make no further incursions.

Thus the negative outcomes associated with this conflict all rest at the feet of the Palestinians. No deaths occuring in the area are truly the sole responsibility of the Israelis. They are the sole responsibility of the Palestinians. Peace would exist if it were not for the militant Palestinians. End of story. End of guilt for Israel.

The body was throw there either before or after the fact

I don't think that was the case here. It was this man's house, and he and his brother had been identified as being involved in the planning and execution of homicide bombings. It just so happened that he was in his house when they bulldozed it. Maybe he planned to be a human booby trap and activate the explosives to kill the crew on the bulldozer. Didn't work that way, and it endangered the lives of the PA folks who sent to try to remove his body!

Oops, my bad, read the story again, and it was his BROTHER'S home that he happened to be in. His home had already been destroyed by the IDF because of his activities.

"Body found in Gaza home demolished by IDF troops"

That's kind of a misleading headline from a Jewish newspaper considering the dead guy had on an explosives belt and was a member of Islamic Jihad.

Oh, never mind. It's a LIBERAL Jewish newspaper. According to them:

Haaretz is an independent daily newspaper with a broadly liberal outlook both on domestic issues and on international affairs."

We have the same problem in the U.S. with our liberals feeling sorry for our enemies. The only thing I didn't like about the story was that there wasn't about 100 Islamic Jihad terrorists inside when they bulldozed it.

Well it would be a lot easier to chastise the Pope if US leaders didn't kiss the guy's ass as well. This isn't a slam on Bush, but there has been a steady stream of US leaders including Clinton, the bi-ch and a myriad of other bootlickers making the pilgramage to his doorstep. Hell one of their daughters actually moonlighted as a peacemaker along the way. Gag me with a friggin pitch-fork!
