"ABU BAKR BRIGADE" ORGANISATION DECLARED ITS MEMBERS HAD BLOWN UP IRANIAN IL-76 PLANE

ABU DHABI, FEBRUARY 21. (FROM RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT IGOR KUZNETSOV). - An earlier unknown organisation, "Abu Bakr Brigade", declared that its members blew up the Iranian Il-76 plane made in Russia. A total of 302 servicemen of the 41st division of the Guards Corps of the Iranian Revolution were on its board.

The Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Ausat published on Friday a statement of this organisation which says that its members sacrificed their lives to shoot down the plane and that the blows at the Iranian regime and its representatives will continue.

The newspaper does not rule out that the act of terror could be a vengeance for the arrest of a group of al-Qaeda militants who left Pakistan for Iran.

Do we really mind if Al Queda is busy downing Iranian planes?

WOW! Now I'm wondering about the Pakistani Defense Minister's plane that crashed the same day. The terrorists threatened political assassinations.

Things that make ya' go hmmmmmmm...

A slightly longer version of the story was published on a Russian-language site, dni.ru.

In it, Abu-Bakr blames the gov of Iran for being insufficiently islamic and ignoring the rights of minoritites.

Does anyone know who was "Abu Bakr?"--this may be relevant.

I guess Iran made a mistake when it started waging a war of terror... what goes around comes around.

Abu Bakr....
yes...
the name roughly translated from farsi, means "God is with Baker..." referring to the former secretary of state, james baker... close personal friend of George Herbert Walker Bush, and apparently to this group... God as well...

It is well known that james baker worked closely to obtain special forces legislation and financing that was used to train these elite "holy warriors of allah", whose primary mission is to take out the extremist regimes that oppose Western influence in arab/islamic states...

< / humor break >

this means I have NO idea who they are.... but they did us a favor.

Sunni vs. Shiite squabble. Al Qada is Sunni and the Iranians are Shiite.

The Taliban (with Al Qada) had executed a number of Iranian diplomats.

But this should put us on warning that these airliners can be shot down.

Although these Iranians were loyalists to the Mullahs, they were still Iranians and their countrymen will want revenge.

The worm turns and everything becomes more interesting.

Also, Abu Bakr, Mohammed's most trusted associate, was the father of Ayesha, Mohammed's wife.

Yeap. I wonder if the Pakistani Shiite shooting is related.
