Denise assailed as Leona-like A FORMER staffer of Denise Rich likens the Pardongate queen to the Queen of Mean.

The fired staffer, who is hiding behind anonymity, complains that Rich axes people claiming she has to cut expenses, but always replaces them right away - and also details how Rich supposedly tried to ensnare ex-partner Herbert Black. Rich's spokesman calls the assertions baloney.

Advantage Rich Bitch because while Leona Helmsley had tro swallow her pride, Denise Rich swallowed the pride of the President of the U.S. in order to get the pardon for her crooked ex-husband.

I know two people who have done contract work for Denise, and they both say she is quite nice to work for.

Of course, Ms. Rich's politics and corruption are a different matter.

The only thing that bent willie has any thing that would approach pride is that he has never told a complete truth yet.

Besides that he's a worthless POS.

In case any of you forgot what she looked like, or who her friends are, or what her most prominent physical feature is, take a look:

Michael Jackson looks like a corpse, doesn't he?

I have to assume someone must have severe psychological problems to WANT to look like that in public.

I come from Southern California (San Diego, a large conservative county) and unfortunately find that women in both LA and SD, single and married, want to look like Denise Rich. Our culture makes even suburban Moms want to look like babes with miles of cleavage.

One neighbor divorced her husband and immediately set about planning the rest of her life. Did she hire a financial planner? No. Did she join a church's singles group so as to not stay lonely? No. Did she turn inward and become closer to her three daughters, all of whom probably needed more security now that Dad wasn't home anymore? Nope. She did what all other red-blooded soccer moms do -- she had a boob job that made her chest look preposterous, almost comical.

I wish you were right. But I fear you aren't.

In the late 80s, for business reasons, I almost relocated from NY to San Diego, so I subscribed to San Diego magazine for a year to try to get a feel for the place.

The acres of plastic surgeon ads at the back freaked me out instantly, and, of course, I never made the move.

I think the density of plastic surgeons is probably the same in So Cal and NY. But, if you're native to NY and still happy there you have nothing to regret.

Oh, I regret nothing. But my impression from the magazine was that because SD's weather is so fine, it has an "outdoor" culture putting a super-high premium on the flesh, whereas here, the culture of beauty is more limited.

My wife is trying to drag me out to SD with the kiddies to visit Legoland, but that's a different issue altogether....:)

Don't be misled by the ads. I think they are more a reflection of wealth than the weather or the location. SD is a very normal place, filled with normal people. My wife and I spent the first nine years of our marriage in Northern Cal, Menlo Park. Nice place, desirable place to live. Yet, we're a Christian family with a traditional bent to our lives. She never felt at home up there. Too many frantic lives, too many women who cared more about their careers than their children, etc.

After seven years in SD, this is home. And we love it here. So come to Legoland and see how pleasant it all is. If you come in winter, bring a coat because Florida is a lot warmer than So Cal in the wintertime. We have oodles of sun but the sea breezes and the temperature is very cool -- much like a NY November. Lows in the low 40s, highs in the low 60s.

Glad to hear I got the wrong impresson about SD.

She Who Must Be Obeyed is targeting May for Legoland, as that fits in with her business travel plans. Don't get me started...:)
