Does he bring up the US relationship with Iraq, wherein we provided chemical weapons for their use in the war with Iran?
I think France's reason for not backing an invasion of Iraq is that they if the US goes in and forces a regime change, they (the US) will undoubtedly force the new regime into again accepting US dollars for their (Iraqi) oil, instead of the Euro as Iraq started doing in 1998. France stands to lose billions if the switch is made.

Heard it. Fascinating stuff.

Chirac provided Saddam with weapons-grade uranium in a series of deals going back to 1975.
Chirac has a quarter century of deals with Saddam to hide.
And he's getting snippy about it.

To: JoeSixPack1
Just asking. I guess Rush didn't bring it up, then.
My point is in my second paragraph...I think France's reasons have more to do with the currency of choice for oil than with any love for Saddam.

-- FAN-TASTIC !!!! The Frogs cant lose enough billions to satisfy me. No Euros for Oil!!! Poor Jacques will have to try to bankroll another murderous dictator.

You're on the wrong website, pal. This is a conservative site. You need to post this BS on a liberal site where truth is not required.

It sure DOES explain a lot! It brings the truth (we suspected this was going to be the case), right out in the open. Germany and Belgium will be found out, too.

I'll agree that there is a currency problem between Iraq and France, but it has little to do with who prints it.

You can't get to the article without a paid subscription (over $100!). I tried myself. Bet to wait for it to be posted on Rush's site if he does that.

Did you actually read what you wrote?
So...if I ask a question relating to sales of weapons to a country that at the time was an ally (or at least not an enemy), for use against a country that was definitely an enemy (Iran), I'm guilty of not being an American?
Geez, fella, sounds like you've managed to incorporate some of the more insidious aspects of Orwell's "1984" in one fell swoop:
Thoughtcrime
Historical revisionism ("We are at war with Oceania, and always have been")
Ministry of Truth
Think before you speak, my friend. You sound less rabid.
