Still, they'd better be singing Tom Petty's song, "I won't back down!"

Let the Dems shut down the senate. It's the Dems that go haywire when gov't shuts down and clearly a Dem filibuster points only to the dems as obstructionists.

Well I won't back down, no I won't back down
You can stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won't back down

Gonna stand my ground, won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down
Gonna stand my ground and I won't back down

Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won't back down.

Well I know what's right, I got just one life
In a world that keeps on pushin' me around
But I'll stand my ground and I won't back down

Hey baby there ain't no easy way out
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won't back down
No, I won't back down

If the Repubs let the Dems make them back down on this one, its all over. They will put the same tactics with EVERY federal court nominee. Nothing succeeds like success. And a new Supreme Court Justice may need to be named during Bush II's term.

The Republicans had better be prepared to sit tight until Hell freezes over, or the Dems back down.

Thanks to Democratic posturing like this, we got saddled by that freak Souter.

Their action on Estrada will determine whether I send a $120 contribution or not. I hope they are ready to fight the dems on this and everything else. If so, there's no better investment.

The National Organization for Women opposes Miguel Estrada, as do all leftist DNC progressive communists.

I hope to God the republicans stand tall and expose the leftists who are so hypocritical.

There are UNION pages online with ready made letters of opposition to Estrada. The left are trying to oppose a good conservative man for their own agendas, of course.

Those who oppose Miguel, support Hugo Chavez...including members of the Congressional Black and Hispanic Caucus(s)es. A self-proclaimed international leader of the "new anti-Imperialist" (anti-American) movement who is murdering and jailing his opposition, funding terrorism, censoring the press and re-writing Venezuela's constitution.

Democrats playing dangerous game with Estrada nomination.
