'He won't listen..he must go'
TONY Blair faces a leadership challenge over his plans to attack Iraq.
The Daily Mirror has learned of a plot involving disillusioned MPs, peers and union bosses.
It would be the first such move against the Premier since he swept to power in 1997. One ringleader said: "These are firm proposals."
The Labour MP, who asked not to be named, added: "We have the numbers required to mount a challenge.
FINISHED?: Wild eyed Tony Blair insists he'll follow George Bush to war
"It is now a firm view right across the Labour Party that Tony Blair is finished because of his refusal to listen to overwhelming opposition to war with Iraq."
Our source said: "I will not speculate on who will be asked to front this challenge.
"A resolution will be constructed and put to a card vote at the party's annual conference in the autumn. If a majority of the conference vote for an election then it would be all systems go." Tony Woodley, deputy general secretary of the TGWU union, warned: "Mr Blair's in real trouble here."
In his speech at Labour's spring conference in Glasgow, the Premier said unpopularity could be "the price of leadership and cost of conviction".
Ministers yesterday rallied behind Mr Blair. Deputy PM John Prescott said the job of the leader was "to take action because it is right and just".
Government Chief Whip Hilary Armstrong admitted that the party faced a "testing time."
Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell insisted last night that the Government did not have a policy of "regime change" for Iraq.

I knew it. I think this is what Chirac and Schroeder have wanted all along. They want a crippled England in the EU.

I am not an expert in photography, but even I can see this photo was altered to give Blair an evil look. CNN ran with this yesterday, next to a picture of Bush that made him look like he was putting on a joke. Subtle, but effective, propaganda. Sigh.

The "Socialists," as Churchill always called the leaders of the Labor Party, are of one mind with the likes of Schroeder and Fischer, Chirac, and the Sodomites in Belgium (that lying so and so). The best way to take the winds out of their sails is to bring down Saddam hard and fast.

The party's annual conference is in autumn. By then, Saddam will be dead meat, Iraq will be liberated, Blair and Bush will be vindicated and these British communists will return to the cesspool of irrelevence from which they sprang. Hopefully forever.

As far as I know, only left-wing radical pseudo intellectuals like Ramsey Clark are talking impeachment. And trust me, the majority of Americans will laugh it off.

I bet they will back down at the last minute.

The best way to take the winds out of their sails is to bring down Saddam hard and fast. True. The socialists and leftists are scared to death that in the end their best buddy Saddam is going to take them down with him. Saddam is not going to cover their rears, I think he has plans to also do a scorched earth on the axis of weasels when he goes down.

Once the war is underway and Iraq is liberated from the evil clutches of Hussein, sentiment will change.
I think Blair is safe, but he's taking an awful beating for standing on principle.
I was mistaken about Blair's character. I believed him to be another Clinton--void of principles. But he is not, he is a man with tremendous courage and conviction. Thank God he's with us.

LOOL, what are these morons goping to impeach Bush for? Protecting us? Even the DUmmies admit their impeachment drive is going nowhere fast.
To: Pokey78
Blair seems vulnerable. If he falls the left will use the fall to attack Bush, and damn well may succeed in ousting him(at least rendering Bush impotent). Interesting times! By the way let these leftist attacks be a lesson to those who confidently assert that conservatives are winning. The left is extremely entrenched(since WWI) and very very powerful. There is a long long road ahead and probably even actual fighting.

They couldn't even successfully impeach Clinton, even though he had actually committed crimes. On what grounds would they attempt to impeach Bush? Beating them in the polls?

Impeach Bush for what? Congress alone has the authority to impeach Bush and these same members of Congress authorized the use of force in Iraq.
They can dream if they want to, but that's all it is, just dreaming.

Oh I know it sounds crazy but these people have a real hatred of Bush - so much so that they will not stop short of getting a few congress critters to come out for impeachment. These people are sick!!!
