Quote of the Week - Algore on Iraq. (Shove this in the pro-appeasement protesters' faces!)
Candidate Al Gore ^ | 5/23/2000 | Al Gore

Posted on 02/17/2003 1:28:52 AM PST by Jay D. Dyson

The following quote is courtesy of Al Gore. Curiously, when he made this statement, no Hollywood star protested, and the Lunatic Left did not spill into the streets to proclaim gore as "a warmonger."

Suffice it to say that we should indeed shove this into the face of every Left-wing pro-appeasement moron we encounter over the days ahead.

"Saddam Hussein still seeks to amass weapons of mass destruction. You know as well as I do that as long as Saddam Hussein stays in power there can be no comprehensive peace for the people of Israel or the people of the Middle East. We have made it clear that it is our policy to see Saddam Hussein gone."

Curious how the Left's views "mysteriously" changed after Bush took the White House, hmmm?

It's not curious, just typical left-wing hypocrisy.

Just read everything said by Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Heir Albright, et al in 1998 about Saddam and Iraq. Side by side, it's the same said today by Bush, Cheney, Rummy, etc.

The only difference for the spineless left, who never cared about the U.N. during Haiti, Bosnia, or Kosovo, is that a Republican is in the White House now.

The DubiousDonkeys are so shameless that G. W. could propose everything from their current platform and they'd still criticize it. Bush signs away vouchers to boost education spending and even tours with Ted Tuboflard Kennedy and now Teddy wants "more" money.

I love doing this to my braindead, never watch the news, liberal moron "friends": take a far left DNC position and champion it at the next get together as the next big GOP idea. They attack it like it was the plague. Then I say, "oops, that's Daschle's position"!

They are so knee-jerk, I have gotten away with this tactic for years!

As Vice President, I supported the use of force. And if entrusted with the Presidency, my resolve will never waver."

This was also a great line in this speech. I guess the left really hates Al now. Ha.

I was told by my Demonrat friends--"Al didn't really mean
to say those words" he has to B.S. with the media to
appeal to the moderate radical right. Leftist's/communist's
can say and do anything- even contradictory statements and
actions. This is why they are Demonrats- they have NO
MORAL CENTER or CREED to LIVE by.

You are correct, their positions shift with the breeze. Same with the UN, they all signed off on 1441 knowing what it meant yet now they all pretend it does not mean what it says or is even irrelevant to their desire to roll the clock back to 1995 and the inspection "process". A lot of it is Orwellian doublethink and Marxist dialectics.

The positions of conservatives do not shift like this. Thank goodness. I mean, it is ok to change your mind over time on the basis of additional information... if I hadn't finally been convinced I would not have turned to the right. But this constant intentional ignorance of what happened last week or last month is repugnant. It's something I like about Bush -- he remembers. Last week he said "I said that you are either with us or with the terrorists. That still stands." I've heard him say things like that before. It is comforting to have some sense that the President has a strong foundation.
