[history]
A group of demonstrators broke away from the huge crowd at San Francisco's Civic Center area at the end of Sunday's anti-war march and clashed later with police on Market Street during a 4-hour confrontation marked by hit-and-run vandalism.
Members of the group broke windows at several businesses and on a pair of police cars during their rampage. They spray-painted buildings and other objects with graffiti. They burned trash, climbed onto a cable car, and later tossed bottles and other objects at mounted police who were trying to control them.

So the peace-loving Communists of the SF Black Bloc only assaulted two police officers this time?
Sheesh, Joshka Fischer is going to be pissed off when he hears about these slackers...

Peace protest my arse. They are just moronic anarchists bent on destroying the U.S system.
Antiwar is a guise for an anarchy movement.

Hey man, whats that sound....everybody look whats going down....
Vallejo News: Demonstrators from the group Free Republic received their share of criticism for supporting President Bush's policy toward Iraq. One protester, who would not identify herself, said she does not want war, but feels this is the time for it. "I support this war. ... I can't believe these people here,'' she said. "They are against America, really.'' While the debate between the two sides was closely monitored by police, no arrests were made during the scheduled march and rally, according to Sohr.

I wonder what type of reception such protesters would receive in Iraq --- or even in Germany?!?!

"The terrified horses began bumping against each other and finally, the mounted officers galloped away to cheers from the crowd."They still breed Norman war horses. Big. Powerful. Fearless. They'll trample anything you put in front of them.

Shoot all the ones who throw rocks and vandalize, I'll pay for the bullets & bags- I'll defend the right to free speech but I know there is no right to be a vandal or thief and will not defend it. If there is a real penalty for acting like terrorists, only then will decide to respect other people's rights. anytime some idiot thinks it is a badge of honor to get tossed in jail, we can assume the penalties are way too lenient.

These people are so proud of thier stance against the war,why to they cover thier faces like cowards? Because they are! Not only that, there are three reasons why they cover their faces;
1) They don't want to be recorded for posterity looking like complete idiots when the good guys are proved right.
2) They're wanted by the police.
3) Their parents would be really angry if they saw them on the news as they think their kids are doing something worthwhile with their money.
