Whoa! Beat me to it!

I looked in several hours ago at the latest LASCO image.

The comet was JUST beginning to show at the top of the image.

This image 2 hours later shows it better. Thanks for posting!

I will link this at APOD as soon as I post it.

The prominence on the upper right limb has been expanding all day. I have never seen such longevity before. That plus this new artifact make for an interesting day around the Sun.
