Blair is really hammering home the plight of the Iraqi people under Saddam's regime. The millions of tortured, murdered, and exiled by Hussein.

"It is leaving him there, that would be inhumane."

Now he is calling for a viable Palestinian state.

The concessions are supect, the weapons are real.....If there are one millions marchers for peace that's still less than the number Saddam has killed

Are you willing to allow Saddam to kill another million.

The opposition to war is welcomed by Saddam.....

I agree, Wizard. I didn't get to see the entire speech, but I saw the end of it. Tony Blair is a brave man and we are fortunate he is where he is.

Our media is reporting that he both silenced the Labour Party and threw them a bone, he said the inspectors are to get more time, i.e., February 28th, when the next report is due.

But people here were saying it was 2 to 6 weeks until all the forces were in position anyway.

Watching on Fox News and recording it to watch again. I might even burn a DVD of it. You have to appreciate the British sense of history and Blair's speech.

Personally, I find his explanations more compelling than those made by our own president.

Blair is a good man, maybe even a great man of history, despite his liberal social policies. I've begun to think he is, in foreign policy, the equal of Thatcher.

Hopefully, CSPAN will re-run it several times over the weekend so more Americans can see it.
