It appears that Professor Margaret Scranton has no interest in discussing the rape of Juanita Broaddrick in her Clinton class at the University of Arkansas.
It is time to take action so that her students know part of the real record she does not want to reveal. Here is what is intended to be her final e-mail to me:
Mr. (redacted), I already have received ample imformation about the Broaddrick case; please do not contact me again on this matter.
Margaret E. Scranton, Professor
Department of Political Science, 608 Stabler Hall
University of Arkansas at Little Rock
2801 South University Ave., Little Rock, AR 72204
(501) 569-3331 fax (501) 569-8271
=================================
She was responding to this from me:

Professor Scranton:
I just spoke with Dave Schippers this morning. He would be very pleased to speak with you about your course, about Juanita Broaddrick, and about other issues you might want to discuss.
He can be reached in Chicago at (redacted).
Schippers will be a great resource for your class. Don't you feel that intellectual honesty requires you to at least talk to him? After all, he was never part of the so-called "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy." He twice voted for Clinton and is a lifelong Democrat.
=================================
After providing info to Scranton earlier about Broaddrick, she was on WABC claiming she knew nothing about Broaddrick. In a previous post, I asked if anyone was close to the campus who could deliver material to the students as they entered the class. I don't remember if we had a volunteer. I warned Scranton that we would show up at the door with materials if that became necessary. Also, we need the Broaddrick video from NBC with Lisa Myers. Who has that?
We may be able to coordinate efforts with a Republican club on campus. The Sinkmaster will be making an appearance to speak to the class. Any ideas?

"Don't you feel that intellectual honesty requires you to at least talk to him?"
Are you out of your mind? This is a course about Willie, thaught in Arkansas by Arkies and within sight of some of the black hookers with whom Willie used to frolic.
This honey is far more concerned about contracting some sort of sexually transmitted disease from any one of possible number of related sources than she is about "intellectual honesty." When was the last time you ever heard anyone use the phrase "intellectual honesty" in any Willie context?

"...please do not contact me again..."
Aren't those the words they teach you to use so you can make a case for harrassment if the person so warned maintains contact?
Do what you gotta do, but don't get entrapped.

Well, since it would probably be unethical/illegal for you to share her email address with us then perhaps you could give us a "hint." :-)
Maybe YOU can't email her anymore. That doesn't say that she can't be "FReeped." :-)
Maybe people just have to browse the U of A website and will be able to find her email address?

I just think if you want to protest or comment on the course, you can do so to the University, and what contact you have had with the Professor already. Beyond that I think is over the top.
It's her class/course to teach as she sees fit in keeping with whatever was agreed to with the school.
Since Ms. Broaddrick signed an affadavit denying the incident, and it was never really pursued, and happened long before he was President, I'd say there are a number of reasons why the Professor would not cover it. The course is supposed to be about the Clinton presidency, not simply the man.
I simply think you are on pretty shaky ground here in getting on this teacher's case regarding what she's covering with the course.

Aren't those the words they teach you to use so you can make a case for harrassment if the person so warned maintains contact? Most definitely; and she probably got legal advice, probably free of charge from the Klintoons, themselves. I'd be careful, dfu......IMO, that was made as either a threat or to enable her to take action against you.

Who are the Arkansas FReepers who might be willing to stand outside her class and deliver these materials?
This needs to happen.
If she is intellectually dishonest, this needs to be confronted.
Do you have her email address?
She is not worthy of this professorship if she refuses to even discuss with Mr Schippers the background info so pertinent to klinton's background. I mean....it was the KLINTON REIGN OF TEROR TEAM who tried to con America into believing, actually accepting their mantra that character does not matter. This was an intense debate across our nation-with major network creeps spouting and insinuating that 'character' had little to do with one's job as President. I find that astounding.

but the incident factored into his presidency at a critical juncture--namely impeachment. is it conceivable that a course on the nixon presidency wouldn't bring up his activities on the house un-american activities committee?
is it likely that the course in question won't discuss his biography that preceded his presidency-- being a rhodes scholar, meeting jfk as a kid, etc. i think it is fair game.
do you think for a minute a course on the reagan presidency wouldn't bring up any scandal, with no regard to when it happened in his life? After all, the left used what spiro agnew did or did not do while governor of maryland to get him to resign as veep. is it possible to imagine a course on the vice presidency of dick cheney with no mention of his tenure at halliburton replete with innuendo and conspiracy theories? any course on the supreme court tenure of juctice clarence thomas would be packed with anita hill.
the professor owes her students a complete autopsy of the clinton presidency, and if she wishes to edit out the rape charge (which did result in an nbc prime time news special)
than the course is a sham.
To: faithincowboys
the course is a sham. But what would one expect to be the case on any course regarding Klintoon? It would be an intellectually dishonest and perverted discussion at the get-go. : )

I appreciate your position, however, impeachment is part of the Clinton "legacy." Had the so-called moderate Republicans not viewed the Broaddrick testimony, he would not have been impeached. They wouldn't have had the votes.

How bout starting a Congratulations Rush thread? No matter how high he finishes, he's had one helluva tournament. This is really special. My husband is watching...thrilled for Rush!!!!
I'm sure Freepers would like to send congratulations his way

These students need to go down the hill to George's Majastic Lounge on Dixon St. and talk to some of the over 50 crowd there about the Clintons and their lovers. They had better hurry because the HIV virus is takeing them away pretty fast now.
