Rogue Site (Grabbe) Posts Link to U.S. Nuke Locations / Pix!

J. Orlin Grabbe's website has posted a link to the names, co-ordinates, & satellite images(!) of U.S. bases, claiming our nuclear weapons are stored there.

This site has previously posted satellite images of Fort Knox & other sensitive U.S. facilities.

Grabbe is an odd character. Many FReepers are familiar with his information-packed site. I was a regular visitor for a while, since he wrote some very useful articles about cryptography, steganography, & digital money. However, his site has recently degenerated (or been hijacked) into a viciously anti-U.S., anti-FBI, anti-Israel propaganda screed. Or perhaps it is a very bizarre experiment in extreme disinformation.

He himself supposedly lived in Nevada; heavily promoted Costa Rica as a libertarian paradise, & now claims to be living in Dubai -- an Arab port city of extraordinary luxury, with ties to African scams & money-laundering operations; a logical base for funding terrorists.

Grabbe keeps trying to launch his own electronic currency, the Digital Monetary Trust (DMT), an e-cash backed by a [small] basket of major world currencies & gold. His site's Mission Statement is a sort of libertarian call for private money beyond the reach of all corrupt gummints, but the site has metastasized into some grotesque fantasy.

He seems to be a CIA reject, &/or has some longstanding personal war with our intelligence community.

The shiny new Dept. of Homeland Security should check out JOG & his pals, pronto.

Try this link:

http://www.thebulletin.org/issues/1992/s92/s92.notebook.html

Here's an excerpt:

"In 1985 an accounting of the locations and numbers of U.S. nuclear weapons was presented in Nuclear Battlefields by William Arkin and Richard Fieldhouse. South Carolina was the number one state in nuclear weapons then, as it is today. There are 2,258 warheads stored in the Charleston area, some 300 more than in 1985. As the main depot for the navy's ballistic missile submarines, Charleston's lead is primarily due to some 1,450 Poseidon missile warheads removed from recently retired submarines. New Mexico and Texas now rank second and fourth in numbers of weapons stored, also because of retirements. New Mexico has risen as Kirtland Air Force Base assumes a greater role in storing warheads that await dismantlement...."

I used to really enjoy his website, but he seems to have gone over the edge since 9/11. Or maybe my patience has simply worn thin.

Back in the days of Clinton a lot of conservatives got way to close to kooks like this. I understood the impulse but always thought they'd regret the association later.

It's difficult to be pro-FBI in the face of murderer Lon Horiuchi, the Waco massacre, the coverup of TWA 800 and the prosecution of James Sanders, coverup of the murder of Vince Foster, thousands of FBI files showing up in the White House, spy Robert Hannsen, agent Chris Braga who shot the Eagle Scout in the face, Boston agents who knowingly covered up, and let innocents rot in jail for, murders committed by an FBI informant, intentionally stopping the pre-9-11 investigation of Arabic flight-school students who didn't care to learn takeoffs and landings, etc. ad nauseum. They are every bit as much, if not more, a rogue agency of political oppression as a law enforcement agency.

Or perhaps it is a very bizarre experiment in extreme disinformation.

Grabbe's website occasionally had some interesting info, and I used to check it from time to time.

Then he admitted to having fabricated a report by "Pentagon experts" that said there were "five "cutting charges" placed in the Murrah Building in OKC. He said he added one charge just to throw those who were considering Gen. Partin's analysis off the track...

Grabbe is disinformation personified...

I wholeheartedly disagree. Disagreement with the status quo and with popular leaders is a very healthy thing. I would argue further that supression of unpopular ideas is truly dangerous, since outlawing certain ideas drives them underground where they may fester into bitterness and violence. Neither you nor I should be trusted to determine what others may think and say. Better that ALL ideas should be freely discussed and freely judged in the plain light of day.

Orlin Grabbe is a contrarian and a curmudgeon, but a very smart guy. While I strongly disagree with him on many issues, I find it worthwhile to read what other people are thinking. The last thing I want to do is shut him up. If the Department of Love moves to silence Grabbe, rest assured that this forum is not far behind.

By the way, there is nothing in the linked article on nuclear weapons storage sites which is classified. All of the locations and their activities are openly published and common knowledge, and have been for decades.

"Jorlin" really has popped an O-ring. I STILL visit his site regularly because his insights into economics and Libertarian orthodoxy are sometimes facinating. The Charles Hayes threads and such seems always to lead to dead ends. There's a new babe everyday, and every fourth or fifth one isn't too shabby.

Nevertheless, I believe "Jorlin" has either passed over the edge into paranoia or is having a jolly good laugh playing a private or covert experiment in PsyOps.

His site is certainly a magnet for the marginally informed and the dangerous - the traffic from which is probably of great interest to just the kind of people "Jorlin" pretends to expose.

Then...there are the babes, which he began adding, one every day, some two years ago. They all seem to be East European prostitutes who qualify with belly-button piercings.

"Jorlin" may want to attract and manipulate the sort of bully-boys he supposes predominate inside the nation's security establishment, the sort who killed Kathleen Wiley's cat and razed the Koresh compound.

He hated Clinton, but he is positively LaRouche about George W.

There is also the distinct possibility that he has been bought and paid for by certain parties in the Gulf region. He has been spending a lot of time there.

Your attack of Grabbe is unwarranted.

You have not shred of information that he's posted anything that is classified, and isn't already freely available to the public.

Orlin provides lots of links to lots of information; nowhere on his site does he say that every shred of it is the Gospel truth; he presumes that if you have a brain in your head, you will fathom that for yourself.

Your call for a Government investigation of him reeks of a Clintonian "Sick the IRS on them" attitude.

If you don't like what he posts, don't visit his website. But smearing him and calling for the government to do an anal probe on him is just plain ridiculous.

Huh. I used to visit Grabbe's website fairly often during the clinton years. There was a lot of fascinating stuff. I think you have to mark a lot of it as "possible" until you have some crosscheck or further evidence one way or the other. But I ceased going there when he ceased posting anything new in the way of interest.

As for the FBI, there was a lot of pretty vile stuff that went on during the clinton years. Clinton managed to promote a lot of bad people to the top ranks. No doubt there are plenty of good agents, but the place needs a thorough housecleaning.

I find Grabbe's naked ladies a bit much, frankly. I suppose they confirm his Libertarian image. But I don't think porn is healthy for the mind's eye.

The first link you gave above is down or overloaded. The mirror site was still working.

That's totally out of date. I doubt if there are any warheads in Charleston; that Navy base is closed. It was a huge economic hit for the city.

Ever figure out what his game is?

When you mix one truth in amongst 99 absurdities and lies, most people assume the truth is a lie also.

Standard disinformatzia technique for diverting people from discovering the truth...

From time to time I suspected I caught a whiff of Charlie India Alpha or other "shilling" on Kalliste... BTW, I don't go there anymore.

J Orlin Grabbe's site has also devolved into "soft porno"; I am not a prude, but I have to scan quickly and be careful who is in the room.

Maybe the pics are for his Dubai contingent. If you want that stuff, his site is hardly where you'd surf.

I don't understand it either; he used to be informative and cutting edge on a lot of info, but now it's mostly stuff I've seen elsewhere.
