Let me guess, Drudge heard about this from DEBKA.
The only reason that I think that this story could be remotely true is because I remember the story about the guy who was able to penetrate security and shake Bush's hand at his inauguration, and it wasn't the first time that this guy pulled this off. It was reported widely but I never heard whether that story was for real or an urban legend.

If the man got through a metal detector, it's no big deal.That's not entirely true.
There are many MANY ways to kill a man with your bare hands or articles of everyday usage.
For someone to get that close to the POTUS without being cleared for it is unforgivable.
