WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Sport utility vehicles across the United States will be ticketed Tuesday by a group of peace protesters alleging that gas-guzzling cars fuel war and other deadly conflicts.
Tens of thousands of mock parking tickets have been printed for distribution in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, according to the Berkeley-based nonprofit group Project Underground.

I think my friend Dan WESSON might have something to say to any nut that wants to stick something on my ride. I would just have dan make them stick it where the sun don't shine.

Boy I'm REALLY getting the itch to buy an SUV, even took a look at a few at a used car lot today while my hubby was looking at cars.
Every time I hear about one of these SUV protests/articles etc. that urge gets stronger.
Might just be time to trade in the ole mini van : )

BTW, how many trees had to die to make these tickets?

I'd enjoy a court order to submit evidence...but in absence of that... I would very much enjoy participating in a "MOSH PIT" exercise within their waiting room.

When my Toyota 4-Runner (SUV) finally dies (it's 12 years old, 200,000 miles and still going strong) I'm going to have to go buy a Hummer and get half the mileage that I currently get. I wonder if these idiotic liberals know that they drive people in the opposite direction of what they want?

distribution in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, That's funny - not one Texas city. Aren't these folks anxious to try this with SUV owners in Houston or Dallas?

I saw one of these today
My first thought was Arianna Huffington on her way to Dulles to catch her private jet flight?

If they weren't stupid they wouldn't be liberals.
To: CounterCounterCulture
Will they go to Hollywood and post the tickets on limos? No way, these people make me sick!

"BTW, how many trees had to die to make these tickets?"
Bwahahahahaha.... Good one!
"Project Underground spokesman Gopal Dayaneni said the tickets were designed to help drivers see connections between gas-guzzling vehicles and a potential war in Iraq, which he said was motivated by American dependence on foreign oil."
I wish some FReeper had the time and inclination to follow Gopal for a day or two with a camera. I'd bet some serious money that he and his peacenik crowd get around in a big @ss bus or van. And we all know how fuel effecient those are.
