Pro-life adverts banned

Claire Cozens Wednesday January 29, 2003

Pro-life leaflets featuring pictures of aborted babies were criticised today by advertising watchdogs.

The advertising standards authority said leaflets sent to people's homes by UK Life League were likely to cause serious offence and were unduly distressing to recipients.

Complaints from the public came from London, Scotland and north Yorkshire to the direct mailing, which included images of aborted babies under the headline, "RIP In memory of six million unborn British babies murdered by abortion since 1967".

Inside the leaflet were more pictures of aborted babies, along with articles about the Abortion Act and the profits made from abortions.

The complaints were upheld after UKLL said it did not intend to respond in writing to the ASA's inquiries.

UKLL said the purpose of the mailing was to shock, disturb, provoke and upset and maintained they had a right to show the pictures.

But the ASA considered the mailing likely to cause serious or widespread offence and was unduly distressing to recipients.

It told the advertiser to cease distribution of the leaflets and has steps to prevent the mailing of them in future.

. . . likely to cause serious or widespread offence and . . . unduly distressing . . .

But abortion itself is just really and totally cool.

I wonder if the babies in the photos were unduly distressed?

Shocking and disturbing? Yeah, the cold truth of institutionalized ought to be shocking and disturbing. Pity the civilization where it wouldn't be! ... Uh, that's why those in favor of the institutionalized serial killing don't want the truth revealed. Don't serial killers and their accomplices usually try to hide their ghoulish acts?

Stalin would be proud of the British these days.

Shocking and offensive, eh? Strange, isn't it, to consider that in order for the leftist swine to further their agenda they have to resort to censorhip and the usual police state paternalism. Since the images are "shocking," it's better that you not see them; since they might disturb you, it's better that the state censor political speech.

None of this strikes the British as paternalistic or condescending, however. I'm sure they view being treated like brainless peasants as something positive.

Closing the lid on a broken toilet doesn't make it smell any better.

So a picture is more offensive than the deed?

They got some real whack-jobs in charge of UK these days. Reminds me of some of the creepazoids who run the abortion racket in this country.

Is Bush sure he wants to to to war with these guys on our side?

Chinese Officials Drown Baby in Front of Parents to Enforce One-Child Rule
Source: World Net Daily; August 24, 2000

Caidian, China -- China has been shaken by one of the most horrifying cases of official infanticide in recent memory after government family planners drowned a healthy baby in front of its parents.

The actions of the officials in the village of Caidian, in the central Hubei province - carried out as part of China's one-child policy - caused a public outcry which forced the Hubei government to pledge that those responsible would be punished, a rarity in such cases.

The baby's mother, identified by Chinese newspapers as Mrs Liu, was expecting her fourth child. Couples in the countryside, where 70 percent of China's people live, often have more than one child without punishment, despite the policy. But in Mrs Liu's case she was forcibly injected with a saline solution to induce labor and kill the child.

However, the baby was born healthy, to the surprise of family planning officials who had ordered the injection, which ordinarily destroys the infant's nervous system.

Immediately after the birth, they ordered the father to kill the child outside the hospital. He refused to obey but was so scared of further punishment that he left the crying baby behind in an office building, where it was found by a doctor shortly afterwards.

The doctor took the baby back to the hospital and reunited it with its mother. He removed the umbilical cord, administered vaccinations and then sent the family home.

Five officials were waiting for them in their living room. During the ensuing argument, the officials grabbed the baby, dragged it out of the house and drowned it in a paddy field in front of its parents.

The public outcry that resulted was so enormous in Hubei that people in Caidian contacted newspapers in the nearby metropolis of Wuhan on the Yangtze River. This led to national media attention which forced the Hubei government to pledge that it would punish the guilty officials.

Since its implementation in the early 1970s, the one-child policy has been dogged by allegations that family planning officials force those who break the rules into having abortions or sterilizations.

Last month Zhang Weiqing, Beijing's Family Planning Minister, said he would not tolerate officials abusing women in order to achieve birth control targets. He said: "We have a strict policy. We deal with every violation by officials seriously." He was responding to media reports that in Nanhai, Guangdong, family planning officials held pregnant women in detention centers for violating the one-child policy.

The Government has recently restated its full commitment to the policy despite the abuses. The official Xinhua news agency commented: "Without taking effective measures to slow down the rapid growth of its population, China would have 300 million people more than the current figure."

A foreign demography expert said: "There are reports of people who have more than one child being beaten up, ostracised by the community and their houses demolished, but it is not condoned by the central government."

The doctor who tended the baby in Caidian said: "How could they be so cruel? The child could have been looked after in a children's welfare home. How could they do it?"

Interesting. Commercials of starving children from around the world are difficult to look at as well. I don't see anyone yanking those ads.

It is so difficult for the pro-infanticiders to convince themselves that it is NOT just a glob of unliving tissue.

We should all be thankful that George Washington and the Founders kicked these tyrannical bastards out of America during our Revolutionary War.

What about adult????????????

What about what "they" do to adults??????????

"THEY" meaning the people that abortionnists and their leftists kind are secretly introducing here and that have just about taken power in Europe.

I mean conquering Islam.

They are flooding the civilised world with babies, one
every 9 months for each of their female slaves.

Here is what they will do to YOU when they take over.

http://membres.lycos.fr/lesjusticieres/gueralg.htm

It is in french. Have it translated, you life depend on it.

Example: they like to behead.
With a razor blade.
Cuts of 1/32 of an inch, preserving the carotid.
It take days, keep the victim, compleately beheaded
alive for many days....
Or they will flay the flesh off limbs with side cutter pliers
one tiny bit a time, for days....
