Eh, it's the Aborigines with the mumbo-jumbo, really.


MOST cultures, particularly primitive ones (some notable exceptions, of course) think they've been where they are forever and ever. I frankly was surprised that the Navajos at the end didn't tear into him; in the Kennewick man case, one of the main arguments of the Washington tribes is that their own cultural stories maintain they've been there forever and Kennewick man therefore has to be a tribe member...even though there's no way in hell that's possible from an anthropological standpoint.

And to me, it's actually a tenet of cultural relativism that every cultures own myths are inherently correct.
