Text of Chairman Blix's Report to the UN courtesy of Fox News
Fox News ^ | 28 January 2003 | Chairman Blix, UN Weapons Inspection

The resolution adopted by the Security Council on Iraq in November last year asks UNMOVIC and the IAEA to "update" the Council 60 days after the resumption of inspections. This is today. The updating, it seems, forms part of an assessment by the Council and its Members of the results, so far, of the inspections and of their role as a means to achieve verifiable disarmament in Iraq.

This is the Bush/Cheney 2004 ping list!

This list will be used to alert you to articles, transcripts, RNC Research papers, press conferences, etc. that report on or could impact President Bush and his Administration as the 2004 Election approaches.

If you would like on or off this list, please let me know.

Thanks,

PKM

The main thing I have seen lately that gets my attention is what Colin Powell has been saying. Powell is smart and he is looking to his own future. He knows about the smoking guns and Iraq. Or he would not be doing what he has been doing lately.

Saddam has been a very naughty boy.

Agree with you that Powell's comments are the true gauge of what is going on with Iraq. When the French pulled their stunt on him, I noticed a change in his demeanor and then in what he said.

There is no doubt in my mind that they have the so-called "smoking gun!" Best remark I heard was when it was stated that by the time you see the smoke of the gun, it is too late!

Your Welcome!

Figured that the only way we can counter what the media spins is to have the facts in front of us.

Thanks to Fox for putting these on their website!

Thanks, I will read this closely later.
What I get from a quick scan is that Iraq is cooperating better than it did when it kicked the inspectors out but there are still serious problems with verification of many things.

Didn't expect this report to be a slam on the Iraqi government. It did give more lukewarm praise to their efforts than I thought the UN would. Saddam isn't helping the UN much in their efforts to bail him out.

What bothered me was the delivery of this report by Blix when he read the report. He was in a monotone the entire time so by the time he got to the most important part, you were almost lulled into listening and so it didn't have the impact it should have.

In fact, until I heard Powell's speech, I didn't realize that Blix had been as hard on Iraq as he was. Sure it was programmed to do all the background to lessen what was being said at the end!

I agree. That was good of Fox. Aren't they a breath of fresh air. I was CNN bound for a long time. I've only had Fox for a couple of years.

Same here on Fox -- I called our local cable company so much the girl recognized my voice after awhile. When Fox was coming on the cable, it was not advertised but that morning I got a call from the cable company that asked me to turn to a certain channel and there was Fox!

What a difference it has made and with the increase of reporters around the world, I never go back to CNN for breaking news! I am a dedicated Fox News Channel person!

Sounds like my experience. When I stay at hotels, if they don't have FoxNews I let them know I won't be back until they do.

I live in a very liberal area. Today the local talk radio guy spent an hour taking an informal poll of callers about if they think we should go in now, or give the inspectors more time. I was blown away when out of 15 callers, ONLY 2 were for waiting!

Saddam was counting on the moral cowardice of the UN to tie America's hands, but instead Bush has used it to put the UN on the hot seat. It's time for them to put up and support the US or shut up and become totaly irrelevant.

Thanks for the update! I find that interesting that in a liberal area the calls are running in favor of taking out Saddam!
