As those of you watching Foxnews national know, the "peace" protestors continue to protest here in Washington. They're on a march from the Justice Department to the White House, and one of the things they say they want to do is inspect President Bush's "presidential palace" for weapons.
Saddam uses humans as shields in times of war. But of course these "peace" protestors wouldn't harm innocent civilians. So some memberes of the DC Chapter of Free Republic are forming a "human shield."

LOL! Nice tag line.
Of course, needless to say, the chapter members participating in this event don't really think they're protecting the White House. They are in lawful space and will of course obey instructions from the US Park Police and Capitol Police, who are in fact protecting the White House.
Early word is that some of the leftists are determined to disobey police commands and get arrested.

Can any of you all find more news photos about this on the web? I'm not the best at looking for this stuff.
Good morning Pippin! Here's the latest. LisaFab, KLT, are you with them at the White House or have you gone back? It was great meeting you!
To: FreeTheHostages
Oh, that's magnificent.

Yeah, isn't this a great idea! Note the loyal display of the Free Republic URL in prominent fashion too. I have to leave to babysit my niece in just a few minutes, so I can't track the news on this one, but I thought you'd all want to know that it is happening.
I suspect at least Foxnews will cover it.

They're on a march from the Justice Department to the White House, and one of the things they say they want to do is inspect President Bush's "presidential palace" for weapons. Who do these commie freaks think they are? BTW, the director of this protest is Ramsy Clark - hired by Iraq as their legal defence !!! He's the butcher of Bagdads lawyer.
This whole protest is supporting anti-american Iraq as the good guys, and pro-American patriots as the bad guys.

Hundreds of demonstrators rallied Sunday against the possible war with Iraq and "racist witch hunts" by U.S. authorities following the Sept. 11 attacks. Police swiftly arrested close to a dozen protesters who breached barriers near the White House.
Continuing a weekend of demonstrations after a huge and peaceful rally Saturday, the protesters shouted and waved a U.S. flag with a peace symbol instead of stars in the field of blue.
They then marched toward the White House from their opening rally by the Justice Department, and 10 who climbed over chest-high fencing were pinned to the ground by police and arrested.
Organizers told protesters who wanted to get arrested to mass at the front, setting a more confrontational tone than was seen at the Saturday demonstration, when tens of thousands rallied and only a few people were taken into custody.
When the marchers met another group of demonstrators waiting at Lafayette Park across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House, there was a surge of enthusiasm and some began running toward, and over, the barricades blocking that section of the street.
Police forced them face down on snowy grass and bound their wrists with plastic handcuffs. A dozen police were on horseback and many more were on the scene, warning people that anyone going over the barricades would be taken into custody.
Police had cleared the way for the march, with several vehicles at the front of the procession.
President Bush was at Camp David, Md., for the weekend. Protesters wanted to get as close as possible to the White House to protest his Iraq policy.

Fantastic Idea!

Pro-war protester Man, I hope Kristinn finds this as offensive as I do. Nobody in their right mind is "pro-war." But people in their right mind realize that sometimes the enemy leaves you no choice. And, of course, that pre-supposes that you actually DO have enemies, despite what the head-in-the-sand total WUSSBAGS on the left believe: that if we say you're not our enemy you won't be.
What a load of CRAP they are.

Or, more accurately,
pro-American protester Kristinn Taylor...

Why do the AP and other media outlets say "Pro-War", instead of what we really are.."Pro-Bush" or " Pro-Military", etc..... We dont' want war, we just want what is best for the USA
