Arlington delegate offers bill giving illegal immigrants in-state tuition rates
An Arlington delegate is opposing Virginia's attorney general on whether illegal immigrants should pay out-of-state tuition rates at Virginia colleges and universities.
Karen Darner's bill would offer in-state tuition rates to illegal immigrants who graduate from a Virginia high school and agree to begin the process of becoming a permanent resident.
In September, Attorney General Jerry Kilgore wrote a memo to state college administrators that declared illegal immigrants were not eligible for in-state tuition rates because they were not in the country lawfully.
Darner tells the Washington Times in many cases, Kilgore's position would punish children for the mistakes of their parents.
Out-of-state tuition rates in Virginia can be four times as high as in-state rates.

Hopefully Kilgore will defeat this Del. Darner. BTW, does she represent your district at George Mason?

Contact Karen Darner at:
Better yet why don't we just ask GW to enforce the law and deport the illegals? How is it that states can pass legislation that is in direct conflict with Federal statutes, with no challenge from the Justice Department?
Oh, don't hold your breath on this one.

Does this bill pertain to only known, in-state illegals, or can out of state illegals apply?
To: Blood of Tyrants
Of course it won't stop. Bush now wants to give illegals
Social Security.
The Bush administration claims that these plans would promote "totalization" of U.S. and Mexican retirement systems and develop a positive relationship between the two countries.
To: Sgt_Schultze
I would guess it is to apply to all illegals since they cannot legally claim residency anywhere in this country. It is an attempt to recruit more illegals to Virginia.
The mystery is why anyone would want to recruit more illegals to Virginia. Perhaps because it is next to D.C. and the terrorits and spies will have it easier to attend college?

Exactly how much is the average U.S. citizen going to receive from Mexico?

I think the average U.S. citizen is expected to take it out in trade. They want us to continue 'bending over' to receive 'services'.

It's cheaper to buy votes using someone else's money. As long as we allow pandering politicians free reign with our money they'll do this kind of thing.

First we're told we NEED the low-skilled labor, now we're told me must pay for them to go to college instead.

Gee, I can't afford to send a kid to Va Tech (out of state), but I guess it's great that Va will let blatant lawbreakers ahead of me...

We ain't got the manpower to deport them all!
To: FITZ
Allow? How the he$$ do you STOP them? (Aside from shootng them) We have been trying unsuccessfully to get the Tennessee General Assembly to cut spending for four years and every year, they pass record new spending ignoring the Constitution by claiming that the spending is in a "emergency". A THIRTEEN year long emergency?

(If the "immigrants" are ILLEGALS, they should NOT BE HERE!!)
To: Blood of Tyrants
Insanity might be the right term for this bimbo Darner's mental state. Not only does she want to reward criminals, but she wants assurances from them that they will remain in this country.
There must be more than one skeleton in her closet. A mental case? A "hate-America" type? Fox's mistress? Getting kick-backs?

That is absolutely riduculous!! I will tear up my US passport and throw it away, go to Mexico and cross over into Texas and claim to be illegal. It looks like I will do much better by being illegal in this country, or at least pretending to be. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law. Since when should we reward someone for breaking the law?

In my experience, there are three types of people who want illegal immigrants. 1)The America haters who wish to destroy our culture 2)People wanting a source of cheap labor 3)Politicians who wish to buy their vote.
BOTH parties are guilty of being in the third catagory.

What does he mean out-of-state tuition rates?TRY OUT OF COUNTRY TUITION rates!!
