Von Hagens wants to exhibit corpses having sex (IT'S THE ARTS ALERT)

The German professor behind November's (UK) public autopsy says he wants to put on show corpses having sex.

Gunther von Hagens wants to make it part of his controversial Body Worlds exhibition.

He told Sky News Online: "I am really thinking of it, but only if the body donors agreed during their lifetime and if the final specimen is highly educational."

He added: "Leonardo da Vinci painted a couple having sex.

"Sex is a very, very important but dangerous act, especially in the time of Aids. We should know as much as possible about what is going on, how intimate the interaction is and how sex functions, and how the anatomy is intertwined."

Just to give you an idea of what the Germans consider art these days.

I'm waiting for the next craze of 'art'. How about 'Dead People going to the bathroom'. What passes for 'art' today; would drive an actual artist to get a real job.

Yuck. Well I suppose if he wasn't doing this he'd be a serial killer.

I can think of ways of gathering this sort of information that are much more fun than stapling two corpses together. Somebody should introduce this feller to a girl. Not one you like, though...

One thing about this fellow, he never takes his hat off. Given how indescribably grotesque his "art" is, you get the impression that if he did take it off, the top of his skull would be missing.

So all those third Reich laddies strung at Nuremberg were just misunderstood performance artists?

The worst part is, someone will try to get us taxpayers to pay for it.

I believe he's getting the German taxpayer to foot the bill. You would think this sort of thing would be first to get the axe with Germany's budget problems, but here it stands.

Uh, it's not dangerous if you are married and stay faithful to your spouse or are single and celibate. Duh.

Certifiable.

More likely, a sane and clever charlatan. Those who pay him are certifiable.
