January 6, 2003 -- The City Council is moving forward with sweeping legislation aimed at banning the sale and possession of all toy guns - including the water pistols kids shoot in the summer. Current city law prohibits the sale of realistic looking toy guns, but the proposed amendment would extend the ban to the brightly colored and transparent toys that remain legal.

In the name of God stop these freekin people who steal rights and legislate all manner of how we live.

Remove this anti-American bastard and all who think like him from positions of power with the vote or recall but do it now to spare us more of the same from such idiots.

The suspected mugger, 17-year-old Allen Newsome, was shot dead after holding the toy to an officer's head, police said.

So, the city council believes that if this perp didn't have access to a toy gun, he would not have commited a crime? Or, threatned a police officer's life?

"If you spray-paint a toy gun black, it clearly looks like a real gun," David Weprin (D-Queens),

Then lock up the painter. You jackass!

"If you spray-paint a toy gun black, it clearly looks like a real gun," David Weprin (D-Queens), a sponsor of the law, said yesterday. "Therefore, we're taking it one step further and basically disallowing any sale of any toy gun in the city of New York."

Why not disallow the sale of black spray paint?

"...the recent spate of cop shootings involving toy guns has given it new urgency, lawmakers said."

Cops are being shot with toy guns?
Are their injuries life-threatening?

Or is all this about saving the lives of muggers so stupid they bring a toy gun to a gun fight?

Yeah, that Super Soaker is awful damn dangerous, and the cops are too retarded to tell the difference between one and a handgun.

Please. Beam me up Mr. Traficant, there's no intelligent life here!
