WASHINGTON (AP) - Officers along the U.S.-Canadian border and on New York City's streets are being extra vigilant for five men of Middle Eastern origin who may have crossed the border into the United States on Christmas Eve.

Officials have not ruled out a connection to a terrorist plot or cell, but they could not confirm a link, either. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Monday the intelligence that triggered the search came from an anti-terrorism investigation.

I have lived in California most of my life, since 1953 when I was 5. I am trying to figure out how our lawns were cut and crops picked before the invasion. It seems to me we got it done.

Here in NC we are aswarm with Mexicans etc etc. No one has the slightest idea of who is legal and who is not and the government seems not to care. In the larger cities they are becoming more predominate in crime, particulary murder and drugs. In fact, percentage wise, NC has the fastest growing Mexican population in the US.

It is a crime that our government refused to do anything about this problem. Maybe we should nuke Mexico when we get done with Iraq. Just kidding. I welcome hard working immigrants --- as long as they wait their turn, learn English, and want to adopt the culture of the land to which they have chosen to move.
