On Rush show right now - a call for US Senator Patty Murray - Washington State to resign for anti American comments pro Bin Laden. She told school kids that Bin Laden helps the world by building roads, schools, clinics, and that the USA bombs people.

The issue is not about trying to figure out why Osama is popular. The issue is the reasons she said he is, and how we aren't emulating him. I guess the billions we give third world countries in foreign aid from our tax dollars means nothing.

First of all, what "nation-building" has he done exactly? Afghanistan SOOO improved under his watch.

He's popular not because he feeds people physically, but because he feeds a sick ideology that glorifies death and destruction. THOSE are the ones who consider him a hero.

The reason for bin Laden's popularity is simple, and the Dumbascraps should know it because it has been a key part of their message for years.

Hate the successful. When you learn to hate the successful you are not longer responsible for your own individual shortcomings nor are your leaders responsible for their failures. America is successful, therefore Osama teaches people to hate us to mask the shortcomings of those Arab states who, despite their tremendous wealth, have done little or nothing to improve the lives of their citizens.

Democrats have been into punishing the successful for decades, thereby masking their own failures. They have convinced many others, particularly the poor, that they are in the state they are in because the rich are at fault, not because of the failed education, social service, and other policies of the party.

And for all those poor tortured Americans who are trying to figure out why the masses of the third world do not like us (even hate us), perhaps it's because we as a country have been around for just 2.25 centuries and sit atop the mountain. Everything they use (electricity, airplanes, cars, cell phones, etc. etc.) comes from the west. They are envious and jealous.

Next time someone points out that the world hates us, ask them why, then, people literally risk their lives to come here from such UN-praised countries such as China and Cuba.

I am extremely upset at you for making comments that seem to cast Osama Bin laden in a positive light.

According to transcripts of a visit to Columbia River High School, you made the following comments:


"We've got to ask, why is this man (Osama bin Laden) so popular around the world?," said Murray, who faces re-election in 2004. "Why are people so supportive of him in many countries … that are riddled with poverty? "He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven't done that. "How would they look at us today if we had been there helping them with some of that rather than just being the people who are going to bomb in Iraq and go to Afghanistan?"


Osama Bin Laden is a murdering propagandist who fans the fires of ignorance through anti-semitic rhetoric as well as calls for the death of innocent Americans and the destruction of the United States. I find your inaccurate description that Osama has been a philanthropist of some sort just plain discusting.

Bin Laden has a following because he appeals to ignorant uneducated brainwashed people. When 3000 were killed on 9/11, his supporters cheered. They are blood thirsty savages because they hate jews. The only schools or day care I am aware of that Osama has funded are relgious Madrass scholls that teach anti-semitic hate and a teaching of the Koran that advocates destruction of all other religions.

In addition, you can see images of the type of children Osama helps here. Children dressed up with toy suicide bombs and machine guns, training to kill jews.

The fact that you as a US Senator could make such ignorant statements is mind boggling. Your apology should be forthcoming to the American people immediately. Many will suggest your comments are in fact worse than the recent Trent Lott controversy. Considering that we are at war as a result of Osama Bin Laden, I think your resignation from the Senate would be a positive step for America.
