Albino Squirrel Becomes Campus Good Luck Charm - Spotting Creature Assures Passing Grades (Pic)
WKMG Orlando ^ | December 4, 2002

Students at the University of North Texas believe an albino squirrel spotted on campus brings good luck before exams, according to a Local 6 News report.

The tree-hugging albino squirrel keeps a low profile on campus but it has a lot of students talking.

There is a growing belief at the school that if you spot the creature on the way to a test, you'll come away with a good grade. And, there is photographic proof the white squirrel exists.

One student said she aced a test she didn't even study for after seeing the squirrel on the way to class.

The squirrel has caused such a stir that it's resulted in the creation of the "Albino Squirrel Preservation Society." The 100-person group is dedicated to promote the squirrel's existence.

Denton is located about 30 miles north of Dallas.

I guess if you look into those pink eyes... you have a bright future. Oh ok. Now can President Bush stop by to check out Charles U's one and only famous "good luck" Albino squirrel? ;-)

If you're a duck hunter, you're the first here to suggest shooting the furry creature, and I predict, from experience, there will be more. ;)

Go to the town of Exeter Ontario, just north of London. They have white squirrels that arn't albino. Pure white, black eyes.

Although I wouldn't shoot it (as it would probably be illegal AND because he is a bit unusual), a rodent is a rodent is a rodent.

This is so ironic, because when I was in school, it was chasing squirrel that kept me from getting better grades!

I wonder when will start hearing the claims of students who finally got laid after they pet the albino squirrel? Or maybe they have to kiss it!

A varmit is a varmit.

People won't be so impressed with the little bugger if it's carrying rabies, Bubonic plague, and a few other nasty diseases and bits some nitwit enviro-wacko trying to feed it.
