WHEN ground-to-air missiles miraculously missed a packed jetliner taking off from Mombasa last week, it wasn't the first time terrorists targeted Israelis in Africa.
In fact, when Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda struck the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi in August 1998, their primary goal had been the Israeli diplomatic compound.
