Blast rocks Jerusalem bus, many casualties -medics

JERUSALEM, Nov 21 (Reuters) - An explosion rocked a bus in Jerusalem during morning rush hour on Thursday, causing dozens of casualties, Israeli police and medics said.

"There was an explosion on a bus and there are dozens of casualties," a spokesman for the Magen David Adom ambulance service said.

No other details were immediately available as rescue workers rushed to the scene.

The blast occurred on bus line 20 in the Kiryat Menahem neighbourhood of Jerusalem, Israeli media said.

Dozens injured in Jerusalem bus explosion

Dozens were injured in an explosion that ripped through an Egged bus traveling through the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood in Jerusalem during morning rush hour Thursday.

It is still not clear whether the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber or by an explosive device placed on the bus, Army Radio reported.

The no. 20 bus was travelling on Mexico street. Rescue services are at the site.

This is the first terror attack in Jerusalem in four months.

Police had no prior warnings of a terror attack in the areas.

Several people were killed and dozens injured in an explosion that ripped through an Egged bus traveling through the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood in Jerusalem during morning rush hour Thursday.

According to initial police reports, the explosion was caused by a suicde bomber that boarded the bus.

The no. 20 bus was travelling on Mexico street. Rescue services are at the site.

This is the first terror attack in Jerusalem in four months.

Police had no prior warnings of a terror attack in the areas, Israel Radio reported.

An aside: I wish the pressitutes would closely cover the agonies of the survivors of these attacks and that of the murdered victim's family. Nail bombs with feces and rat poison embedded in victim's bodies is unconscionable. 12 people killed, 30 injured - - yada, yada - next story. Sickening.
