*Yawn*
And why should Carter be sought as the trusted and wise foriegn policy advisor?
To: mikenola
US: Carter perceived to be stupid.
To: mikenola
He should take the millions in US government pensions he gets for his worthless "service" as President (probably the single worst of the 44), along with the money we have to poney up to maintain the "monument" known as the Carter Center/presidential library in Atlanta and give it to the poor.

U.S.: Carter perceived as 'too ignorant'
To: mikenola
Yeah, like Mr Carter was a master of foreign policy.
I was just a teen when he was Pres, but I remember how "weak" he made the US look via his "policies".

"However, Carter said he does not believe the North Koreans actually have, or want to build, nuclear weapons."
Denial just ain't a river in Egypt. And to think this guy was our commander-in-chief for four years. No wonder the Iranians could hold our people hostage for 444 days and not expect any retribution.

Carter also said that recent admissions by North Korean officials that they have pushed ahead with developing nuclear capability came as a surprise to him. However, Carter said he does not believe the North Koreans actually have, or want to build, nuclear weapons. What a peanut brain.
It is just scary to think that the American people actually elected this guy President of the United States. To their credit, they had the intelligence to throw him out at the first opportunity. The naivety that is evident in almost everything he says is just beyond belief.

they don't have missles either...just giant phallic symbols to lust for.

Carter: U.S. perceived as 'too arrogant'U.S.: Carter perceived as a total asshole.

...the United States is at the bottom, way at the bottom, in providing humanitarian aid for peace and for human rights and for housing and for health and education." Sorry Jimmuh, the American taxpayer is not responsible for feeding, housing, and providing medical care for the rest of the world.

I was just a teen when he was Pres, but I remember how "weak" he made the US look via his "policies". I was a young adult, and remember his "malaise" speech, where he pretty much blamed Americans for our state of affairs. Yeah, that's the way to inspire people, Jimbo...

Thanks for the post, nauseating though it is. I hadn't realized how much I dislike Jimmy Carter until recently.
"People around the world perceive the United States as "too arrogant" and "too self-centered" because the country doesn't do enough to alleviate poverty and other social ills in the developing world, former President Jimmy Carter said...
Carter's view on their, and his too, I guess (stupid) perceptions might be right. I'm pretty sure, from what I've read, that Europeans at least, think we are arrogant because we are not following the path of socialism quite as quickly as they are. And they think we are self centered because we pursue wealth.
The fact that our pursuit of wealth does more to raise the standard of living worldwide escapes them all, including "RabbitBoy" Carter.
The fact that the United States has directly done and continues to do more to help the peoples of the world than all the countries in Europe combined, or countries anywhere else for that matter, is something they are conveniently forgetting.
The more I think about it, the more I think the United States is almost Christlike, as she strives unselfishly to create justice and peace in the world, while most of the world spits on her.

"I think there is a sense that the United States has become too arrogant, too dominant, too self-centered, proud of our wealth, believing that we deserve to be the richest and most powerful and influential nation in the world," Carter said. "I think they feel that we don't really care about them, which is quite often true." I have a neighbor with two Jaguars.
I HATE HIM because he will not give me one.
He must be arrogant, proud of his wealth, and self centered!!!

Carter: Deemed unfit to lead in 1980.

Appears we have a new, even sillier "mouth of the south." Please hush, Jimmy.

I wonder who put the paperwork in for Carter to get the Nobel. It was probably Clinton's people. There is a process for applying and paperwork that has to be filled out. Didn't Clinton's goons put him in for the prize back awhile ago? It was probably the same people who put carter in. Look the Norwegian's are an advanced people...sex changes, and 90% tax rates are the norm. They also have a very high rate of murder, psychosis and suicide, legal drugs and legal prostitution. It's an anything goes society because they have the western world to protect them if someone like say the Germans invade them. So Carter, a mumbling, bumbler is an idol to Scandanavian mentalities who would allow any enemy to walk into their country as long as there was weird sex in it for them.
