California's candidates for governor closed out a lengthy campaign season Monday with last-minute pitches aimed at stirring an uneasy electorate, imploring their supporters to take the trouble to vote and to make sure their friends and neighbors do the same.

Told that Davis had never been to Imperial County during his administration, Simon quipped, "There are a lot of places in California Gray Davis has never been."

Like the unemployment line.

'So here you have it," Gov. Gray Davis told a crowd of 500 at San Francisco's Union Square, many of whom appeared to be tourists and not exactly sure about the issues or candidates in today's election."

And therein llies the hope. Grayout turns up 80 'supporters' in Compton. Simon gets 200 to show in little ol' Redding. A big surprise may definitely be in the offing....

I observed the empty ballot box this morning at my polling place in precinct 1752 in Santa Clara County per §14215 of the California Election Code, and over the past three days requested challenges for nearly 20 names on the voter rolls that were no longer valid out of the 592 names on the registration list.

I liked how one newspaper put it: "We backed Simon, the candidate we disliked the least".

California politics is like California baseball: it ain't over 'til it's over!

Let's get out the vote! Here's a tool...

Click here to download the California Republican Liberty Caucus' tri-fold pamphlet on the governor's race!

It's a .pdf file, so you'll need Acrobat Reader... it's free, and chances are good you already have it on your computer. Try the link and see.

Print it using the printer-icon button in the Acrobat toolbar in your browser (not File|Print in your browser's menu). It's intended for double-sided printing using single pieces of paper-- no stapling needed if you do it that way, and saves trees! ;-) Print one side, then invert the paper and feed it through a second time for the second side. Fold, and sally forth to get out the vote!

Give this to friends, walk your neighborhood, take it to stores, give a wad of 'em to your school, hand some out at your house of worship, at clubs, at stores and small businesses...

Let's retire Gray Davis!

Let's show the media and RINOs that "It's the base, stupid!"

Let's show Gray Davis that money can't buy him love ...or re-election!

Freepers and RLC activists can claim considerable credit for nominating Bill Simon, so now let's elect him!

I got a call last night from a Davis push poll.
It was my pleasure to reply "I don't vote for felons!".

"There are quite a few undecided voters left," he said, "so I think it's a good idea to campaign up until the last minute."

I completely agree, Bill! Keep working hard until the polls close!

Here at my place of business, many of our hispanic employees received "get out and vote for Davis" letters in Spanish. Almost all are green card holders and not eligible to vote.

Was/Is Davis asking people to vote who are not supposed to?

Davis says he shares our values,
and that he has the solution,
but last I checked our values don't
include greed and prostitution.
