With your help, John Brantuk can be the next member of the California Assembly for the 56th District. Please Get Involved!
JOHN NEEDS YOUR HELP!
We need people IMMEDIATELY for the following activities.Ask your friends, neighbors, fellow church members, relatives, etc. to pitch in and help for an hour or a day. Many hands will make for light work.
Please help me line up enough people to get all these things done . . . if we do, we can win!
- People to make and hold large signs saying "Vote - John Brantuk - Assembly" on the corners of most major intersections inside the district during the following hours:Thank you all!Friday Nov. 1 (4:00 PM - 6:30 PM)- People to walk neighborhoods and drop off Literature and "Door Hangers"
Saturday Nov. 2 (any time throughout the day)
Sunday Nov. 3 (any time throughout the day)
Monday Nov. 4 (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM)
Tuesday Nov. 5 (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM)
We already have some of these signs made; but we can use as many as possible!
Note: Teenagers and children (with their parents) can help with this, too!All day Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3- People to help Get Out The VoteAll day Tuesday, Nov. 5- People to Post Yard Signs
THIS IS A CRITICAL JOB!
There are a number of activities involved, from checking the list of who has voted, to phoning those who haven't gone to the polls, to providing transportation to those needing it to get to the polls, etc.
If anyone can take this day off from their job, or if they can give us part of their day - even a couple of hours - we can get enough of our voters to the polls to attain victory!Beginning NOW through Friday, Nov. 1 (Any hours available)- People to Phone Voters and encourage them to vote for John Brantuk. We'll provide the phone script and the names and numbers of those to be called.
Also phoning all day Tues. Nov. 5 to those Republican voters who haven't yet shown up at their polling place.
There are A FEW DAYS LEFT!
If we truly want to make a difference, we need to make every minute of these days count.
Please, please give me everything you can, and encourage others you know who believe as we do to do the same.
Remind those with whom you speak that they have the opportunity to prevent a true knucklehead from going to Sacramento to make laws which will mess with OUR lives.
We can stop this from happening, but only if we all sacrifice a little now to prevent sacrificing more later when the Knucklehead Caucus raises our taxes, eliminates our Rights, and pushes their agenda on us with our money!

About John
John Walter Brantuk, Sr. was born September 11, 1950 in Montebello, California. He grew up in Whittier in the American family tradition. His father worked at a local truck body building company while his mother tended daily to the needs of John and his younger brother David and the family home. Upon graduation from high school, John was accepted to the University of California, Los Angeles. After college, John enlisted in the military and gave six years service to our nation. Trained as a Tank Commander in an Armored Cavalry troop, John continued to take on greater and greater responsibilities, attending Leadership schools and working his way up to Sergeant, Squadron Communications Section Leader, and finally Acting Squadron Commo Officer. John received an honorable discharge in 1976. It was a very full experience.
Having completed military service John continued his education while working for United Parcel Service. Starting as a part-time clerk, John moved up to delivery driver, then supervisor. Putting his college major of Applied Mathematics/Advanced Problem-Solving to good use, John completed UPS Industrial Engineering School and was promoted to Industrial Engineer. After 10 years with UPS, obtaining the position of Manager of Industrial Engineering, John was recruited by a multinational conglomerate to be their Corporate Director of Industrial Engineering.
John has continued to effectively use his skills of looking at problems and goals with a "critical eye," looking at any problem, situation, procedure, and asking "why is it done this way? Is there a better way? How can we do this more effectively without sacrificing quality?" These skills have served John well over the past 25 years, as he worked for and with several companies and organizations, working in both the management and labor sides of business, for 2 years holding the position of Chief Shop Steward in his local union.
John's extensive training and practical, real-life experience have enabled him to successfully open and operate his own business for the past eight years, helping other businesses and organizations operate more profitably while increasing the benefits shared with their employees. John enjoys working with business owners and employees to find solutions to help them grow both their business and their employee's paychecks.
John has always been an activist and a leader in the communities of which he is a part. It is this activist spirit that led him to run for and win a seat on the board of directors of his homeowners' association, where he served three terms, the last two as President of the association. He worked intensively to maintain and improve the neighborhoods, while finding ways to eliminate any need to raise the residents' fees. John's ability to build a consensus and find solutions to budget issues and other community problems helped him rebuild a normally divisive group, and work toward common goals.
John has for the past 8 years served on the Republican Central Committee of Los Angeles County as a Member at Large, Executive Committee member, and Chairman of his Assembly District. He works tirelessly to fight off the onslaught of those who would move our local, state, and federal governments away from the true, democratic Constitutional principles upon which our country was founded and made it the greatest nation in the history of the world.
John and his wife Gayle live in Whittier, in the Northern part of the 56th Assembly District. Together, they are actively involved in supporting our community. John has volunteered his time in our community with projects ranging from Project Angel Tree though organizing and hosting monthly pro-Bill of Rights dinners. Gayle has recently worked on the Whittier Walk-a-Thon project benefiting the Whittier Pregnancy Care Clinic.
The couple has a lovely daughter Jaclyn Michelle Brantuk, who is a successful businesswoman and clothing designer. Son John W. Brantuk, II is in his 4th year at the United States Air Force Academy, where he will soon graduate with a B.S. degree and a commission as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Air Force. Youngest son Ryan passed in 1994 and is now with our Lord. As a family, they attend Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton, where they have been actively involved for more than 16 years.
We Cherish Our Second Amendment Rights, Or Do We?
Gun Owners Talk A Good Game; Do Their Actions Show That They Really Mean It?
By John Brantuk, Candidate for Assembly
John.W.Brantuk@BrantukForAssembly.orgOctober 29, 2002
We gun owners are an independent lot. One of the things which draw us to own personal firearms is our sincere desire to be able to take care of ourselves. Unfortunately, as much as wed like government to just leave us alone, the busy-body career politicians we have allowed to take office just cant seem to stop trying to restrict and even eliminate our Rights in order to increase their own power and control over our lives.
...because my opponent has publicly stated that "private ownership of guns should be eliminated!" I am running for the 56th California Assembly District. Now before you stop reading this because you dont live in my district, or even in California, I want you to recognize that what happens in the 56th district, and in the state of California, will affect YOU! It will impact you either now (if you live in California), or later (if you live outside of California) because California tends to set trends which then roll across the continent like a tidal wave of bad ideas.
Most pro-gunners are aware that our Second Amendment Rights are under assault in California like never before. We have an election coming up in a few days which will set us up to either lose more (or all!) of our freedoms and Rights, or will send a message that weve had enough!
"I can't stress this strongly enough -- John Brantuk is that rarest of creatures in politics -- one of us -- one of We the People -- a citizen who has shown the courage to stand up and be counted in a bold attempt to make a difference . . . I'm convinced that John has the ability to pull off a major upset in a traditionally democrat-dominated district -- provided we make a commitment to give him our support."
-- David Codrea, co-founder and director for the national pro-rights media campaign, Citizens of America, and an advisor and contributor for KeepAndBearArms.com. His professional writing is featured often in Guns and Ammo magazine. Additionally, he is the national coordinator for A Petition for the Enforcement of the Second Amendment.
The Knucklehead Caucus in Sacramento continues to weave a spiders web of laws and regulations designed to give them more control over our lives. Most of these anti-freedom, anti-Second Amendment bills are passed by only one or two votes! Sending just ONE new pro-Second Amendment citizen representative to the Assembly would create a TWO-vote shift in the outcome of these bills! Keeping another anti-gun career politician from taking office would cause them to LOSE one vote, while electing a pro-gun citizen would ADD one vote to our side!
Were we gun owners serious about keeping and restoring our Second Amendment Rights, we would take every legal action we could in order to make that happen. We would register to vote, we would ALWAYS cast our vote, we would drag other people of like mind to the polls with us to make sure they vote, and wed support our pro-gun candidates with our time, our labor, and our money.
I am not a politician. I am simply a citizen who has come to realize that if I continue to wait for someone else to make things better, it will never happen. So I have stepped up to the plate; I have closed my business, my family and I have invested everything we have, and we have dedicated our lives to the pursuit of this office, not so much because I have aspirations for elected office, but because my opponent has publicly stated that private ownership of guns should be eliminated! We MUST NOT ALLOW this to happen!
I am extremely angry! All we who are acting on our beliefs instead of just watching from the sidelines should be angry! The anti-rights people, they act in concert, they contribute to their causes. But our side? Our people seem to just want to complain, because they surely dont seem to be willing to help.
There are at least 10 million gun owners in California alone. If each of them would give just the price of a box of .30-06 purchased at Wal-Mart, we would have a war chest of 150 million dollars! The anti-rights people would be history.
Ask yourself; how serious are YOU about holding on to your Second Amendment Rights? Are YOU serious enough to contribute the price of your next planned gun purchase? Have you set a little money aside toward buying another gun, or a scope, or some reloading equipment? Are you serious enough to defer that purchase and instead contribute the money to a pro-gun candidate? Are you serious enough about this to (at the very least) contribute the price of a box of .30-06 ammo?
If you really are serious, Click here https://www.paypal.com/xclick/business=JohnBrantuk%40email.msn.com&no_shipping=1 and contribute what you can to help elect John Brantuk in the fight for freedom, the Second Amendment, and less government intrusion into our lives.
Remember there are only a few days left before the election we must act now if we want to make a positive change.

You'll note that there is a multitude of information about me and my positions available - my website, questionnaires I've full answered at vote-smart.org, etc., etc., etc., Yet my opponent, who seems to be hiding in the "Bermudez Triangle" has NOTHING available ANYWHERE - seems he just doesn't want people to know where he stands on anything!
We don't want to allow someone with his own hidden agenda to be elected, do we?
Then we need to work together - there are only a few days left, and surely most everyone can give a few hours of their time (or if they're too far away they can donate a few dollars on the like at my website) to help us win.
Remember, winning isn't everything, but losing is NOTHING!

Perhaps we could set up FReepers with "Brantuk for Assembly" signs on the public sidewalks nearby? And, perhaps a few "SIMON for Governor" signs, as well. :o)

ONE vote can make the difference between YOU losing more of your freedom, or your taxes going up, etc., etc.
So you can have ME voting FOR the things you & I believe in, or you can have my opponent voting AGAINST your wishes.
So please get involved, even if it's only sending some money.
We are all in this together, and if we don't all pull together, we all stand to lose a lot!
